Holiday House: Part II

You are all in for a treat!  Get comfortable, with a nice mug of something good to drink and sit back and enjoy the show.

First, I’d like to introduce you to Sheron, our gracious homeowner.  She is the sweetest lady and made us all feel at home in her house, a totally delightful hostess.

We’ll start outside the front door, where this HUGE urn greets guests coming inside the stately iron double doors.  This pic doesn’t do this justice, it’s probably 10 feet tall.

On the other side of the door, this life-size Santa is waiting to say hello too.  Isn’t he adorable?

This is my friend, Cindi, who I already introduced you to and I’ll be showing you her space on a later post.  She does magnificent work and we have had a lot of fun getting to know each other through this project.

Stepping into the foyer, this huge mirror is all decked out for Christmas.

This huge foyer tree is also the first thing you see coming in the door. It sits in a little alcove at the bottom of the foyer stairs.

And this lovely topper caps it off beautifully.

These angels are so pretty too, sitting on the grand piano.   So, click on the button, to continue the tour.  I took WAY too many pics, but couldn’t stop myself, so I hope y’all won’t be too tired of Christmas by the time these are all posted. 🙂

The greatroom is a magnificent space, overlooking the lake.

You can see that EXTRA large scale Christmas is needed here.

And this whole table is very large scale.  The fresh flowers came from a well-known floral designer, Dorothy McDaniels and looked and smelled SO good.

And I adored this huge metal tree with fleur de lis topper holding mercury glass ornaments that Sheron found at Atlanta Market.

In the greatroom, this beautiful tree is in front of the huge bank of windows.  The sun was coming in very brightly that day, so it was hard getting great pics in every space.   This tree was done by a local shop that I enjoy, English Ivy.  They do beautiful work and have some beautiful Christmas decor.

This pic doesn’t do these cherubs justice, but there are a pair here on the large coffee tables with a pretty green swag running between them.

The greatroom mantel, all decked out. Next, we’ll move on into the kitchen.  Wait til you see the eye candy in here!  This was probably one of my favorite spaces in the house.

The colors in here that the homeowner did were lime green and red.  Sound familiar?  These huge swags are over one of the counter areas.

And yet another, all still in the kitchen.  This is one big kitchen.

The breakfast table was all decorated for Christmas.  You ladies who love tablescapes will enjoy these pics.

Greenery and berries are festooned over the large light fixture above the table.

Looking towards the large bar expanse, she has all sorts of candy jars displayed.   The colors explode.

The kitchen fireplace is also prettily arrayed.

I loved all these hanging ornaments.

And this cute lime and red stocking.

We had a candy tree party and made these trees.  I totally forgot to take my camera that day, but if you’d like instructions on how to mix up the “snow”, I’ll pass it on to y’all.  It was a mixture of egg whites and confectioners sugar, sort of like divinity.  Spread on a styrofoam cone and then the candy was added one at a time.  They were fun to make, because a lot of candy was bought for the project.  These were on sale in the gift shop, in 3 sizes.  They are adorable!

I loved how she layered this pretty jar with all this colorful candy too.

Can you say, a feast for the eyes?

This jar held some peppermint candy ornaments with a string of lights tucked inside.  Isn’t that a great idea?

These pretty pieces were on another counter in the kitchen.  Yes, it’s a HUGE kitchen.

And the finale for today, this pretty birthday cake display for a December birthday party.  This is SO cute, one of the girls made this out of styrofoam and candy.  Totally adorable!

So, that’s it for now! There is still a LOT more to come, so again, I hope you don’t get bored, but with all this eye candy, how could you? 🙂 I’ve got a whole post of just tablescapes coming up too, so those of you who enjoy that are going to love it.
