We’re back once again, to finish up the tour of the Holiday House and I hope you’ve all enjoyed this gorgeous home decked out from head to toe with Christmas cheer.  We’ll pick up in the hallway outside the grand dining room.  This is a large candle arrangement in the hall.  Really large! IMG_7355

And here we have the elegant and grand formal dining room, which is totally breathtaking in calm shades of silver, cream, taupe and bronze.IMG_7356

This large mirror is on one wall.IMG_7434

And this is looking towards the front door and foyer.IMG_7357

An absolutely stunning table.IMG_7361

Moving on down the hall, there is a large formal study and they decided to outfit this room in nothing but nativity scenes, so there are an abundance, in large and small.IMG_7362

All shapes and sizes.

IMG_7363

IMG_7366

And even a nativity nestled in pretty urns with baubles and pretty balls.IMG_7435

Another table in the hallway.IMG_7321

Moving up the stairs to the guest quarters, this is the landing as you go up.  My friend, Cindi, the designer did all of this area in reds and greens and she does a fantastic job with the florals.  She knows how to do it up right.IMG_7322

She gave me some pointers on how to put arrangements like this together, so I’m going to have to try it out myself.   Lots of different textures is one of the secrets.  IMG_7323

On the upstairs console table are the 2 reindeer that you might remember from the floral design store, when we were in there for open house.  I love these guys and this table is beautiful.IMG_7324

Another beautiful swag arrangement at the top of the stairs.  So lush and pretty!IMG_7350

In the center of the hallway up here, Cindi added this large round center table and decked it out with fabric, bows and all things pretty, even a lamp.  Love this, she did an excellent job on it all.  IMG_7351

Another small arrangement along with a Christmas pillow sits on a chair in the hall.  Think about adding red flowers to some of your arrangements for a fun look. IMG_7331

Another little alcove that Cindi did. IMG_7326

Moving on to the upstairs study, another pretty wreath hangs on the door.IMG_7327

And the shelves were decked out with all sorts of Christmas cheer.IMG_7328

Another tree in the study, with some flying angels, so very pretty.IMG_7330

A chair in the study gets decorated for the Holidays too.IMG_7334

Moving on to the upstairs guestrooms, this is the Africa room, with a tree all decorated in African ornaments and colors.  How fun! IMG_7335

In the bathroom, this cute little arrangement of whimsical animals sits on the countertop.  How fun! IMG_7336

This is where Elizabeth, our missionary, stood greeting all the guests who came through the house and telling them about the missions opportunities.IMG_7337

Another tree in that room.IMG_7338

Yet another guestroom, with what looks like the 3 wisemen.IMG_7339

Another pretty tree in here.IMG_7340

More pretties on a side table.IMG_7343

Fireplace mantel in one room.IMG_7344

Another dresser decorated for Christmas.IMG_7345

A gold tree tucked in a corner.IMG_7346

And some carolers.IMG_7348

Moving into one of the guest bath areas, red was chosen as the accent.

IMG_7349

With some pretty feather trees.

IMG_7399

Going downstairs to the media and playroom area, another arrangement is on the stairs.IMG_7400

And this cute vignette greets us at the bottom of the stairs.  How cute is this? I totally love the hot chocolate mugs just waiting on company.IMG_7401

An alpine tree and village is downstairs too. IMG_7402

Along with a very colorful white tree.  This area was decorated for the children.IMG_7405

With stuffed animals, toys and lots of bright colors.  A kid’s paradise!IMG_7406

And Poo sits on the spiral staircase, which goes up the kitchen. IMG_7407

More pretty colors.IMG_7408

And finally, we are at the end of the tour!  I hope you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed doing it.

It was a fun time and these pics give you a small glimpse of how stunning this house really was! Now, I know you are all ready to get started with your decorating too, right?!  Right!

I’ll be finishing my decorating this week and then it’s time to party!

Thank you, thank you for sharing that beautiful home with us and the hard work involved in making it so! I have a question that others might be wondering about, too. Will the same team of women go back to “undecorate”? Just curious!

Hi, Sharon, to answer your question, we all went back and “undecorated” our areas the few days after the event was over and brought it home with us, since most of us brought our own things from our houses to use in the Holiday House. The homeowner, Sheron, had many, many things of her own, so those areas were left, of course, as she has been decorating her own house for many years & collected a lot of large scale items to use in the house.

I think the hardest part for most of us was having large enough things to use in here. That’s why I chose an area that was more like a normal house scale and not really huge, since my things would not have worked. So, yes…we all went back and got our things out of there and then Sheron will finish up with her own things around the house for her own family for Christmas.

I’m SO glad you are all enjoying the Holiday House! It was so much work, so I’m very happy to show it off now!

What fun, Rhoda! Loved seeing all the decorations. I really love those reindeer that are doing ballet and standing on their hands! So cute.

The two waiter reindeer? I gave a pair of those to my friend Adelaide and her husband. But one of the two I bought had a candy-cane red and white striped apron. I had it monogrammed in red. The other wore a plaid, wool Christmas scarf. They were a hit with the recipients. Found them at Marshall’s a few years ago, and I snatched them up fast! 🙂

Thanks so much for sharing, and I’m so glad you had a great time with your folks, Rhoda.

    Love you…

    XO,

    Sheila 🙂
