This year’s Home for the Holidays Designer home is located in historic Brookhaven and is a blend of contemporary styling and historically inspired charm. Designed by architect Linda MacArthur and built by Livingston Fine Homes, the 7,500 s.f. house has modern curb appeal with crisp, clean exterior, embellished with light brick cladding and siding. The home is perched on a hilltop, taking advantage of views and maximized by floor to ceiling windows giving the home a light filled feeling. Interior features were selected by designer, Valerie Garrett. French oak flooring is all through the main level. I really enjoyed this tour and the designers did an excellent job with all the spaces. I think you all will like it too so come along for the first floor tour today and I’ll come back tomorrow for part two, the upstairs and basement. The house doesn’t look huge from the outside, but it’s 3 full floors of magnificent architecture and finishes. As always, I’m thrilled to be invited to preview these houses before they open to the public. If you’re local, don’t miss out on getting tickets, it’s well worth a look and runs through December 14th. This fundraiser benefits Atlanta History Center

Foyer and Living Room: Patricia McLean Interiors, Inc.

The foyer opens right into the living room. It’s hard to get pictures without people in them, but I did my best. I loved this space by Patricia McLean. Beautiful and classic!

Let’s have a moment for this powder bath! Wow, isn’t this gorgeous? I had never seen backlit stone before, but this was absolutely stunning!

Tomorrow, we’ll go upstairs and down to the basement. Lots of beautiful spaces left to see, so come back for more. Thanks for dropping by as always! I hope you enjoy these tours as much as I do taking them.

Beautiful! Love the list of paint colors/wallpapers.
Wow, what a fabulous tour! I’m slowly taking in every space as I sit here enjoying my morning tea. I think my favorite is the dining room and the way it opens up to the covered porch. Just stunning! Thanks for sharing!

This was fun to see, thank you! I’ve been adding a lot of green to my decor lately, so it’s nice to see more green ideas. Your outfit is perfect !
