Come with me on a tour of the 2024 Home for the Holidays designer showhouse in Atlanta, GA. The annual holiday event showcases the talents of 18 top Interior Designers and pays homage to original owner and golf legend, Bobby Jones. The 7,500 s.f. residence  formerly built for the golfer will be open to the public for tours November 21 through December 15, 2024.

Hosted by Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine and presented by Firelight Homes, the fundraiser benefits Atlanta History Center. The classic colonial home is designed by residential designer, Kirk Design, in partnership with builder Firelight Homes, Tish Mills Interiors, and landscape architect Floralis. With 5 bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms, the circa-1930’s classic colonial masterpiece was originally gifted to Bobby Jones from the City of Atlanta after Jones won the U.S. Open at 21-years old. The historic home has been completely renovated inside and also using exterior materials similar to its earlier years, but has an additional new wing and amenities that indulge in modern luxuries.

I really loved this classic home and the builder and architects did a wonderful job of keeping the charm of this historic home as well as adding all the modern amenities you would expect in a Buckhead neighborhood. I think you’ll also like much of the interior design choices as well. It felt way more traditional and classic than some of the past houses have felt.

The house is absolutely gorgeous on the exterior and has been renovated to perfection, keeping the charm of the original.

Isn’t this gorgeous? They always decorate the homes so beautifully for Christmas.

Exterior holiday Decor: Boxwoods Gardens & Gifts

Just stunning!

Foyer, Speakeasy & Study:  Tish Mills Interiors

Living Room: GordonDunning

Dining Room:  Nina Long & Don Easterling of Mathews Design Group

If you can’t tell, I really liked the dining room. It was so traditionally elegant and gorgeously done.

With my friends, Robin LaMonte and Betsy Manley.

This was the original front door and was later changed to the other side when renovated.

Lower Stair & Stair Hall: Means Carney Interiors

Kitchen, Scullery & Breakfast Room: Design Galleria Kitchen & Bath Studio

Scullery – I would love to have one of these, wouldn’t you?

Family Room: Robert Brown Interior Design

The trees throughout were gorgeous!

Mudroom & Powder Room: Loren Taylor Interior Design with Bell Cabinetry & Design

Primary Bedroom: Whitney Ray of Wyeth Ray Interiors

I loved the upholstered bed.

Primary Bathroom: Renaissance Tile & Bath

This tub area was really cool. They demonstrated how the glass walls fogged with the flip of a switch for privacy from outdoors.

Primary Closets & Laundry: Kristin Wadsworth Design with Bell Cabinetry & Design

This was one girlie closet, so nice!

Speakeasy and Study: Tish Mills Interiors

I somehow missed this whole wing of the speakeasy and study, but my friend, Betsy, shared her pics with me. I loved the high gloss lacquer cabinetry and color drenching of this deep blue.

Check out this fabulous ceiling in the study.

The woodwork is gorgeous!

Memorabilia from Bobby Jones, the golfer.

I’m going to split this tour into 2 parts, since I have so many pictures it’s really too much for one post, so come back tomorrow for Part 2. I really loved this house and hope you do too!
