How to Make a Spring Umbrella Flower Door Arrangement

How to make a cute spring umbrella flower arrangement for the front door has been done by a lot of DIYer’s, so I decided to put my own spin on this easy spring project. It’s a quick and easy project and you only need 3 things to make this adorable front door hanger.

  1. Umbrella
  2. Faux Flowers
  3. Ribbon

Start with an umbrella. I bought this one from Hobby Lobby online and it’s on sale now. Of course, you can choose any color you’d like for the umbrella, just make it pretty and colorful and springy. My umbrella is 31″ long which I thought worked fine on a door. You can find a smaller one if you don’t want one this long.

I couldn’t resist this flamingo umbrella with the colorful head for the handle. I found these pink tulips online at Amazon and now this color is no longer on the website, but you can take a look at the many other colors they offer. These  look good, have a real touch and they come 20 to a bunch.

Go ahead and tie on some ribbon where you visually like it. I already had this black and white wired ribbon and tied it down from the top so that the folds of the umbrella would hang open for the flowers. Then just start tucking in the tulips in each of the compartments. I bent some of them out so they seemed to be more airy and away from the umbrella. Just play with it until you like the way it looks.

Space apart the tulips until all are in place and you like the way it looks. I really love how this cute arrangement came out and I’ll be using it on my spring door again and again.

It’s a really no fail project and anyone can do this one.

Would this be something you would try yourself? I saw it around and decided I just had to do it and I’m so glad I did. There are so many versions of this all over the internet and now mine is too!

That’s great, Dawn! It was on sale online too, but I had to pay shipping.
