I’ve just received a couple of new books I wanted to share with you, I sure enjoy beautiful books around the house and on my coffee tables and these two are really gorgeous books if you enjoy flipping through a real book and not just looking at things online There’s something about a real book with those glossy pages that just captures my attention. And if you love flowers, then you will love both of these books I’m sharing today.
The first one is the second book by my long time blog friend, Courtney with French Country Cottage. Courtney has been blogging almost as long as I have and has now written her next book about French Country style, called Inspired Gatherings.
Based on her beautiful photos that she is know for from her blog and social media, Courtney has compiled a gorgeous book with so many inspiring photos that will make you want to set a beautiful table. She’s the author and the photographer and most of the photos are of her beautiful property in CA.
I’m so proud of her success in this online world as well as a book author, sharing her beauty with the world.
Courtney is a dear soul who sees beauty in everything around her and knows how to capture the most amazing photos.
The book covers Small Gatherings, Entertaining at Home, Inspirational Settings, and Inspired Florals.
You will get lost in all the unique ways to decorate and entertain with flowers. Courtney is the queen of florals!
And you will so enjoy having this book in your collection!
The next book was sent to me from a publisher and this one is beautiful as well. If you love Hydrangeas you may want to add this book to your collection. I happen to love them so was so happy to get this. Authored by Naomi Slade and photography by Georgianna Lane, it’s a rich compilation of hydrangea information and the pictures are stunning!
Hydrangeas happen to be my favorite flower! They are old fashioned, but well loved by all generations. Growing up, I still remember a big blue hydrangea bush in front of my paternal grandma’s house in Panama City, FL. I didn’t think they grow well in FL, but I remember it was there.
This book covers all the varieties of hydrangeas that you may not even know about. There certainly are a lot of them.
It covers history of hydrangeas, how to take care of them and then goes into detail on all the varieties that you can find.
Lacecap hydrangeas are so pretty. I don’t have any of these yet, but I sure wouldn’t mind.
And the Limelight, another personal fave. My dwarf limelights are going gangbusters this year. I predict they will be covered in blooms soon.
I’ve never seen this one, but it is absolutely stunning. It’s called Together, one of the You and Me Series. I have not heard of these, but aren’t they amazing?!
My blue hydrangeas in the backyard are also doing great this year and are in full bloom. I’m going to be sharing those with you soon and I’m also going to cut some and make arrangements in the house for a photoshoot. I love this time of year when the hydrangeas are in full bloom!
Here’s a link to both books if you’re interested! They are both breathtakingly beautiful! (
