Do y’all love jewelry as much as I do? I admit it, I love the bling of costume jewelry. It just makes an outfit and I don’t feel put together unless I have some pretty sparkly jewelry around my neck, hanging from my wrist, and dangling from my ears.
You too?
So, given the opportunity to get a BIG box of jewelry from Styled by Tori Spelling to play with and put together, what girl could resist that one?
We gathered at my sis’s house and unloaded the BIG box of goodies.
I received 2 collections: Boho (above) and Noir (an all black collection).
With earrings, bracelets, and necklaces, there are lots of jewelry combos that can be made with the Styled for Tori Spelling collection. This is costume jewelry and not boutique jewelry and if you enjoy putting things together, you can find it at your local craft stores.
The Noir collection has lots of sparklies to play with. The collections come with connectors that open and close and that’s how they connect.
The black Noir collection was fun to play with.
The Boho collection is fun and funky, with lots of colors to play with. I really liked this necklace bottom, so claimed it for myself.
My sister likes the bling and picked out this feather necklace bottom to go with a rope topper. It went together with round connector parts.
My buff brother-in-law, Bruce, who had just come in from working in the yard, played model for us.
The bracelets come in 3’s on a card and the connectors on another card (right). See those little clasps on the bracelets? They slide back and connect on those little circles on the connector. That’s how easy it is to put together!
Lauren had fun with her selections too and put together this pretty combo that went well with her top she had on.
She added some turquoise earrings to her collection to finish it off.
The necklaces go together the same way. Those round connectors open and then it’s added to both pieces to hold them together. We did have a few problems with these rings connectors and a few of them didn’t open properly. That was the main thing that we had any problems with. The concept of this line is fun and hopefully they’ll iron out any issues with connectors and parts along the way.
Here’s one of my necklace sets put together. It will be fun to have these pieces to dress up my outfits.
This bronze set is part of the Boho collection too and is very sparkly and pretty.
This set will look great in the Fall with autumn colors, don’t you think?
Mom took her turn with the Noir collection (that was more her style) and she found some pieces to put together that she will enjoy wearing to church and dressy events.
One of the very fun things with the Styled by Tori Spelling collection is the pendants that you can add too. These individual pieces can be changed out for more sparkle and bling. You can see another connector on this one (with little rhinestones in a circle).
More from the Noir collection, this sparkly necklace and earring set will be fun to have around.
Here are some examples of the pendants that can be added. Fun, right? They can be worn as pins too.
Boho has some great colors in this collection: corals, blues and summery colors. Love them! All the collections can be mixed up for lots of stylish possibilities.
Another piece from Boho, Lauren put this leaf necklace together.
I put together one more set from the Boho collection and this coral and blue necklace with silver chunks goes so well with my jacket.
Do you enjoy costume jewelry as much as I do? I love jazzing up my clothing with jewelry, that has always been something I’ve enjoyed. Jewelry can really make or break an outfit and I prefer to wear jewelry when I’m going out. I’m happy to see chunky jewelry coming back too. Back in the 80’s, I had my share of the chunky and it was just pure fun to wear it.
I’ll be getting out my Styled by Tori Spelling collection this summer to add some pizazz to my clothes. If you’re interested in checking this out for yourself and your friends, stop by your local craft store, JoAnn’s or Michaels for more details.
Have fun with your jewelry and wear it well!

What a great collection! You did a fabulous job puting together this posting. My favorite is the necklace from the Boho collection in your last photo. It looks marvelous with your jacket! The whole collection looks like fun. I’ll have to check it out to see how pricey it may be? Love the way your mom gets in on the actio too. She seems to be enjoying herself. Bruce is hilarious!

Love that necklace in the last photo with your jacket, that is perfect together. Most have been a fun surprise to see that box packed with so many goodies.

I love this. Now I can make some jewelry and not have a bunch of stuff left over. Such a neat idea. I will certainly be buying some of this. Your models are all just beautiful.

What a lovely collection! What a fun party you hosted and so sweet to share with your family. Even Bruce (too funny!)

Looks like fun! The necklace in the last photo is very pretty with your jacket. And I love the colored necklace that Lauren is wearing with her pink dotted blouse, as well as the leaf necklace she chose. That niece of yours is so darling!
Feathered jewelry brings back memories of “hippy” days, LOL. Not sure I could go back there. But Bruce looks good in feathers; he reminds me of an Indian warrior. I’m a little surprised that the earrings are all so long; perhaps a trend I am missing out on.

I saw this new collection at Joann Fabrics just over the weekend, but sorry to say nothing inspired me to purchase and try this out. I specifically went to make a necklace but came home empty handed! : ( ! The selection of Tori Spelling was NOTHING like what was on your table!- I saw nothing that you had gotten to try out at Joann’s. My Joann’s is a small store and perhaps they were going slow with this product line there, but I was not impressed at all. Maybe at a larger store the selection would be better. Could have been fun, but for me, it was a snooze!
Rhoda says
Joanne, I heard that JoAnn’s is carrying the whole collection and Michael’s only part of it. Maybe check a larger JoAnn’s store. It’s definitely costume jewelry, so keep that in mind.

My daughter just came back from Costa Rica and brought home a bracelet for me that needs “tweeking”. I’ll head over to Joanne’s and see if this line has anything I can add to my bracelet. Good timing Rhonda.

THANKS so much for this post…I’ve read about this line on Facebook, but haven’t looked for them at my craft store. This looks like so much fun! And I love that you can change up the look and add to the collection! A bonus for my budget! 🙂 Thanks again! (ps-love watching your progress on the house!! You are an inspiration!)

I went to a Twitter Chat party yesterday for this new line of jewelry. I’m so ready to go check it out at Jo-Ann. The Boho collection is calling my name! I think it’s amazing that they sent you this much jewelry to play with! Enjoy!

It looks like a good time. I have heard about this line too. The jewelry looks pretty. What did you think about the quality anf the pieces?
Cynthia
Rhoda says
Cynthia, the quality isn’t super high, but definitely costume jewelry. The only problem we had were a few of the round connectors that didn’t open. HOpefully they will iron out those problems in quality control. Overall it was fun to play with and we all got some great jewelry to add to our collection.

It looks like you all had so much fun! I love the colors in the boho collection and I especially love that last necklace you had on! 🙂

The last photo is really great and reminds me of more expensive costume jewellery (remember Trifari?) from the eighties. I think that’s a definite keeper. However, I’m most interested in that darling polka dot shirt your niece is wearing. do you know where that came from?
Fun post.

Teresa, cute Lauren is a big fan of H & M clothing (in the malls). I just got introduced last year & they have some pretty cool clothes. It’s a European co. I think & not very expensive.

Rhoda, I enjoyed this post. I have seen some of this at Michael’s and wondered how it all came together. This was good info. And your brother in law made me LOL! And btw, I am daily working on talking my husband into painting diamond pattern on the porch. I keep showing him your porch pictures. …

I love this post! Tori has some great ideas–so easy and fun! I did a post recently where you can do the same sort of thing with jewelry you already have in your jewelry box. Hope you can check it out http://housebyholly.blogspot.com/2012/05/jewelry-feature-must-read.html.

Hi Rhoda!!
Loved all the pieces that you’ve put together!! Did you notice that the pendant that your mom put
together was just like the flower on her blouse/t-shirt? It’s to the right of the pendant. This looks
like a great way to spend an afternoon with friends. I enjoy your blog and always look forward
to your emails.
Thank you for adding joy to my life.
All the best!!
