Lonny Online Magazine

All around blogland, I’ve been reading about a new online magazine, Lonny, so I checked them out. And it truly is like turning the virtual pages of your very own magazine.  You can’t hold it in your hand, but it’s the next best thing. Do you miss some of the old magazines: Domino, Cottage Living? This seems to be a happy mix of both, with it’s own unique flavor.  Click on the Lonny image to check it out for yourself.  You’ll be virtually happy you did!

And the ever-stylish Eddie Ross has a big feature in this issue also, sharing life from the farmhouse, with lots of eye candy from their home in the country.  I am definitely going back for a look-see on what Eddie is up to now and he has a wonderful feature on his blog too (click on his name)  about the new magazine, which was named as a combo of London and NY, I read.

Just in case you need a little more design inspiration, it’s right at your fingertips.

Oh, and check out an interview that Donna did with moi, over at her blog, Funky Junk.  Thank you, Donna for the opportunity, I’m truly honored!  Donna has some wonderful blog tips and projects, so head on over and say hello.

Rhoda — Thanks so much for the heads-up on a substitute for Domino. I got so used to that magazine, as short-lived as it was. So many creative ideas — just like your blog!

I have a very fast computer and super high speed internet but the pages took so long to load I gave up. I may try again when it is a little quieter. Hopefully they will be able to handle the traffic they will get.

I loved reading Lonny! Did a little review of it over on my blog – http://www.aestheticoiseau.com/2009/10/meet-lonny.html – can’t wait to see how it grows.

Rhoda, do you know if there is going to be a subscription charge at some point for Lonny? I took a look at it the other day (really liked it!) and it’s clearly free for now, but I wondered if that was going to change later on. Or are they relying solely on ad sales for revenue? You may not know any of this, but I thought I’d ask! 🙂

Thanks for telling us about this! I, too, had a hard time with the pages loading and my computer is usually very quick. Perhaps it is just the fact that some many folks are excited about this and are all over there at the same time browsing. Hopefully, it won’t stay this way.

I hope you have a wonderfully blessed weekend!
