Loving our Knockety Front Door!

This post is sponsored by Knockety, but all opinions are my own.

When we moved into our house going on 10 years ago, one of the things we wanted to do was replace our front door. You can see our original front door below. It was in pretty sad shape when we moved in, there was some rotting wood along the bottom and it had seen better days. I love having glass in a door, but we wanted to update this door to something a little more elevated and pretty. We really wanted a natural wood stained door, so it was serendipitous when Knockety reached out to me back in 2019, asking if we needed a new door and did I want to work with them.

That was an easy yes and so we began the process of ordering a new wood door through Knockety to add to our front door curb appeal. We were so excited for this partnership! I wrote all about the process in 2019 when we got the new door. It was October then too and I had up the same wreath I still have. It was so easy, just measure as they instruct, sending them all the measurements of your current door and then they make the door custom to your specifications. We even sent them the hardware template so that they could drill holes for our front door hardware and dead bolt.

The door arrived completely wrapped up securely with wrapping and foam all around it, so it was an exciting day when we received the finished door. Knockety is located in Houston, TX and they are a family owned business. I chatted with their representative back and forth and got explicit instructions on how to measure precisely and we got our order in. They have about 150 employees, including the craftsmen who built the wood and fiberglass doors in their Houston shop and they ship for free all over the country. Every door is custom built for each person who orders.

We chose the Knotty Alder Sierra Brown antique stain finish and the glass is Water. We love the 6 panel glass door so much, that’s the style we were going for! The Water glass allows you to see through the glass but it distorts enough so that you don’t feel like you’re in a fishbowl at night.

We did hire someone to install the door. Mark probably could have done it, but he was more comfortable hiring it out. Here’s a picture of the door back in 2019 and I can tell you that it still looks exactly the same today, in 2026.

From inside the house, I changed out this rug since then.

And the 2019 picture after it arrived and we had it installed with our new hardware.

And here’s the door in 2026! It really does look exactly the same, it hasn’t aged at all in 7 years. Amazing really! Knockety also has fiberglass doors that you can choose from too, but we really really love the look of real wood and I’m so happy we went with that.

The stain color is beautiful and we adore the look of this door.

The knots give it character.

The only thing that’s aged on the door is the hardware, it’s a little more weathered than 2019.

The Alder wood door blends seamlessly with our hardwood floors, creating a beautiful flow from the front porch to inside our foyer.

You can see how pretty the Water glass is from this view.

And this view! We love the glass patterns and there are several to choose from. Knockety sent us stain and glass samples to choose from when we were deciding what we wanted.

I can definitely say without a doubt that Knockety has beautiful quality doors, so if you’re in the market for a new front door, you should check them out and see if they fit the look and style you are looking for. They have many styles to choose from, solids to glass panes, traditional to contemporary frames. Front doors are what make your home stand out from the crowd, so investing in a beautiful front door makes sense from a practical and aesthetic standpoint. We could not be happier with our wood front door from Knockety and as you can see, it’s wearing so well. It still looks brand new! I could not recommend Knockety more!
