February can be a dreary month with not a lot going on, so I’m teaming up with Michaels and Hometalk for a Sunday afternoon Pinterest party! I’m excited to join a huge group of bloggers all over the country that day in a big Pinterest crafting party. I’ll be in a local store here in Kennesaw on Sunday afternoon, February 16th, from 1-4 pm and we’ll be doing a craft project together. 
Hometalk, that huge online home and garden social network is part of this venture too and they have a fun contest going on. 
Follow Michaels on Hometalk to enter to win a $100 Michaels gift card. Five winners will be announced on Hometalk’s FB page on Feb 17, after the party. There will also be a joint Twitter chat with Michaels and Hometalk on Monday evening, February 10th, at 9 PM EST, so stay tuned on that.

Ask the store and they will show you where the Pinterest craft supplies are located in the store. I found several in the endcaps at the Kennesaw store. They have lots of chalkboard items in the store now with fun and festive banners that all use chalkboard pens.

And this is the one I’m choosing to do, a burlap stretched canvas board with a big scrapbook paper monogram on top. I’ll be showcasing this particular project that day!

And just for fun, I saw these cute containers that I’ve seen elsewhere at the trendy Anthropologie store, but Michaels has them for a really great price. Just in case you need some cute storage containers with chalkboard labels. I’m trying to figure out where I need these, love them! For discounts at Michaels, you can always find coupons online! I can’t participate in this month’s Pinterest party even though I so want to. 🙁 My father in law has been in the hospital for a week and half and just a lot on my plate right now. BUT, I love these projects and may have to go get the burlap board one to do at home! Love those white + chalkboard jars too and all the chalkboard decals! Did they have the chalk pens in store??? Cause I have asked several times at my local Michael’s and they can’t find them anywhere? Maybe they do now.

Christina, I saw some colored chalk pens, but the white ones were empty in the slot, so maybe that means they finally have them in. I have looked for them before too and couldn’t find them.

Rhoda- So sad I will be out of town and not be able to see you that Sunday! The White Rabbit Cottage has the chalk pens in all colors. At the present time, they do have white, but that color does sell out fast. Hope to see you another time.-Jan
