More of Your Thrifty Treasures

Hey, my friends!

Hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend. We’ve been working on the porch project for the last few days and it’s coming along, updates coming this week.

I also ventured out to Scott’s Antiques market and met up with fellow blogger, Sherry Hart, for some fun browsing and gabbing and I’ll be sharing those pics later on too.

We had a beautiful Mother’s Day last weekend and took our annual girl’s pic.  Hope your day was wonderful as well. We were all happy the newlywed got to come home for a few days.

OK, let’s look at some fun treasures from last week’s par-tay, shall we?  First up, KK found this pretty glass lamp at her local Habitat Restore for only $8.  Very classic and a great price.

Lindsey, from The Savvy Speechie, scored this $10 solid wood lingerie chest.  Great find!

Her’s a sad one to report.  Julie, from The Little Red House, spied this old beauty for FREE on the side of the road and passed it up! The ultimate no-no, never pass up a freebie when you have the chance.  She went back to get it and it was G-O-N-E!  What a loss.

I’m a tad bit jealous over this beautiful marble lamp, scored for just $5 by Kat from Maple Leaves.  What a find!  There were lots of great lamps last week!

Marianne, at Songbird, found this awesome chippy old aqua trunk with some fabulous lettering for only $12!  What a deal that was.

Tami found this cute garden caddy/tray thingie for 45 cents, people!  And it didn’t look like this, she took it home and remade it.  Isn’t it adorable now?

Sarah, at Three Boys, scoured Craigslist and scored this beauty.  Of course, it didn’t look like this either and she reupholstered it in this happy, cheerful fabric and painted the legs.  Love it!

Don’t forget the Home May’d parties coming up in the next 2 weeks.  Sarah’s Spray Paint party is up first on Tuesday & I’ve got a little one to share.  Love that spray paint!

What have YOU found lately? Add your link to the Linky list and remember our guidelines for the party.

There are a TON of parties out there to highlight all your projects, so please let’s keep this one about thrifty finds that were bought 2nd hand!

  1. Add your permalink to the link list, which is the actual post that you did for this party, NOT your general blog url. To get the actual post, after you publish the post, just click on the title and THAT will be your party post url. PLEASE try to get the correct url in the first time! :)
  2. Please add my button to your post or blog OR at least link back to this post in your post. That’s all I ask. It’s common courtesy to link back to the person having the party, so that all of your readers can find it too.
  3. Please do NOT link to an Etsy shop or something similar (even if you think it’s a fabulous deal) or I will delete the link. This party is for sharing thrifty finds from yardsales, thriftstores, or something along those lines. If I see that your post is not really on track with this theme AND you don’t link back, I’ll delete your link. Sorry, but I’d like to keep the party consistent! IF YOU SEE THAT YOUR LINK HAS BEEN DELETED, IT IS PROBABLY BECAUSE IT IS NOT IN LINE WITH THIS PARTY THEME.

What terrific finds ladies! I did a bit of junk hunting myself this weekend at our local flea market and scored a large U.S. flag with stitched stars and stripes for $10. I got a English ironstone covered vegtable for $8 and an assortment of four English, brown transferware cups for $3. Fun!

Thank you for featuring my lost find, Rhoda. Had that fabulous, albeit oily sideboard been found in my own neck of the woods…I would have instantly grabbed it. Alas, I was several states away in the middle of a tiny espresso shop-free Nebraska town on a weekend, with a brand-new-almost-full rig, and a germ freak auntie.

Had I seen that li’l aqua trunk, I definitely would have snapped it up!

    : )

Rhoda: really enjoy reading your blog and all the others linked in on your site (however, I do feel rather under-creative). Though I don’t take the time to do much thrifting it is nice to have a go-to place if I decide to start! So proud of you Rhoda for taking lemons and making lemonade with your life issues. Here in the South we might say you took those lemons and floated them in your sweet tea! 🙂

So much fun to see what people find! I love the cream and sugar; the PB clock; and the French Urns. Here is Wisconsin we might finally see the start of tag sale season this weekend!

Thank you so much Rhoda for featuring my lamp. I went to your page yesterday and was shocked to see my lamp. As a newbie blogger that gave me a HUGE boost in confidence. Thank you again. You will see me around Thrify Treasures often since I have an entire house of thrifty treasures that I love and want to share.
