More Scenes from Madison, GA

I’ve got a few more things to share from the Madison, GA tour, so I’m back today with some additional pics of some of the beautiful homes we saw. As we walked around town, I was snapping pics of the pretty historical homes and the charming cottages and stately homes we saw.

I booked a night’s stay at the Kirby House, a popular bed and breakfast in town. It had good reviews and did not disappoint. The house itself is not old, but was built in the 90’s and made to look and feel like a historical house. I think that’s the best of both worlds! See that top balcony up there and the door to the right? That was our room, the Owl room.

Inside the floors are reclaimed wood, so have a historical feel to them.

A covered porch off the kitchen is right by the pool. I love this herringbone brick floor!

And there’s the pool, which I’m sure is nice in the summer.

Living room to hang out in.

And this family room was a popular spot with drinks handy and a TV and fireplace.

Spacious kitchen where breakfast is made and served.

Dining room

Breakfast table all set for us. Mark had a colonoscopy the next day so couldn’t eat that day. Bad timing on that procedure! He didn’t join us but waited on me to finish breakfast.

Breakfast was delicious!

We checked in our room in the afternoon between the day tour and candlelight tour and had a couple of hours before we went to dinner so it was nice to chill out here.

And there’s the porch I showed you from the front of the house. Great place to rock and watch the cars go by, but it was a little chilly that day.

The rest of these pics are just houses we saw while strolling and driving around Madison. It’s such a quaint town, so enjoy the pics. Everyone there is so nice and it seems like such a great place to live.

It’s wonderful that they have such a strong historic preservation society in place to keep these old beauties around.

We had dinner that night at Town 220, which I heard was one of the best in town. It did not disappoint!

We both got shrimp dishes and they were both delicious.

We loved our time in Madison, GA and if you get the chance to go, check it all out. A perfect weekend getaway!

    Rho,
I love looking these beautiful homes. The rocking chair front porch, the herringbone fabric. So Southern…so me down to the plaid napkins on the table.
    Thank you for sharing!
    Merry Christmas Friend,
    Judy
