New Baby in the Family!

Hi, friends!

It’s been an exciting month around here.  Mark’s daughter, Traci, gave birth to her first baby, little Rose on October 5th and so that’s been wonderful news for the family.  We are all rejoicing over a healthy baby girl added to the family.  I have been mindful of what I share about Mark’s family and don’t want to invade anyone’s privacy without their approval, so I asked Traci if it was OK for me to share here on my blog and she was happy for me to do so.  So, today I’m going to share the baby’s nursery as well as pics of her too. She’s almost 4 weeks old now and growing like a weed.  It’s amazing how much she has changed since that first day we saw her at the hospital after she was born.  They sure change fast, don’t they!

Traci and Tony moved into my old house when Mark and I moved into our new house and it’s been fun seeing them get settled in and planning for the new baby.  Her nursery is Rhonda’s old room and it sure has changed a lot. We’ll get to that, but first, the baby pics!

Mama Traci right after baby Rose was born.  Traci’s middle name is Rose, named after Mark’s grandmother, her great grandmother, and she passed the name on to her baby girl.

She’s an adorable little thing.

Mark and I went by the hospital that evening after she was born in the morning and saw her for the first time.  This is Mark’s 3 grandchild (the first 2 were boys) and I’m going to have fun being a grandmother too with these little ones. Another daughter of Mark’s, Kelly, is due with her first baby (a boy) in January so that’s going to be exciting too with another new baby.

Traci and baby Rose with her eyes open.

Mama and baby in cute outfits.

There’s nothing more precious than a newborn baby, is there?

Mark getting more cuddle time with Rose. We have all had fun holding her.

Babies are so sweet and cuddly.

Now, for the nursery! As I mentioned she’s in the front bedroom that was Rhonda’s room, with the big picture window.  Traci chose soft pink, gray, black and white for her colors in the room and I think it looks great.

Gray crib with a soft and cozy round rug really makes the room feel comfortable.

Such a cute room.

Lots of stuffed animals already in the crib.

This piece was in my master bedroom with the TV on it and I gave it to Traci for the baby. It’s a child’s piece of furniture and perfect for her to use for Rose and they painted it black and got pink rose knobs for it.

She got a glider from her aunt which will be great in here.

Bookcase with baby things.

Soft and cozy blankets in a bin.

And a chalkboard sign with Rose’s name on it.  She has a nice big closet to fill up with baby clothes and I’m sure this is going to be one well dressed little girl.  She’s the only girl grandchild so far and I’m sure she will be spoiled with lots of clothes. Girls are so fun to dress!

I wanted to share our excitement and let you all meet the newest addition to the family, baby Rose.  She’s just adorable and it will be such fun to watch her grow! I’ll have another little girl to love on now.

Congratulations! Such sweetness. How I wish we had a girl baby in our family. We have three boys, and it doesn’t look promising for any more.
