On Your Toes

What’s on your toes this year? This friend of mine reminded me last year about an OPI color that I had loved several years ago, but forgot all about….Cajun Shrimp. A perfect corally red that just screams summer. So, last year I ordered it off Ebay and got myself a new bottle.

And now I’m ready for summer. How about you?

I’ll never be a foot model. 🙂 But, they do look cute in my Yellow Box flip flops and a fresh coat of Cajun Shrimp.

What’s your favorite color for summer? Do tell.

I can’t remember the color to save my life but I remember it’s OPI, too. I had a pedicure at Hot Springs a couple years ago and LOVED the color she put on. Wish I had written it down. 😛

My new summer color is Sephora by OPI in High Maintenance. I was looking for something a little orange, but really it is the perfect summer red. Hubby LOVED my toes when he saw them. Sephora has some really pretty OPI colors.

I do love the Cajun Shrimp color – I think I’m going to get a few more colors and have fun with it. If you go to the Sephora OPI page, the first color at the top is a gorgeous teal. Wonder if that is the one a previous commentator mentioned wearing? So pretty, but I’ve never worn anything like that!

Yep, that’s my spring/summer color too for toenails. My fingernails look terrible this year so…and for a Thriftier Find of the same shade, Rimmel’s Tequila Sunrise…I got mine at Walmart I think, but Ulta carries it too. I broke my OPI bottle, so this was a cheap fix until I could get to the salon to get it. Link is just for color.

Love the color. My son’s baseball team’s colors are royal blue and orange, so this color is great for my summer toes. The orange I have now is too bright. Thanks for the tip!

You have lovely feet. If you were to view mine, you would run. Right now, my toenails are sportin’ chipped OPI polish in Yucatan If U Want. When the moing company rep told me not to pack chemicals of any sort, I listened. I gave my bottle of nail polish remover to my mother. Among my other brilliant moves, was giving her the Goo Gone. I have gone years without needing to use Goo Gone, until it was gone!

This coral color has always been my default color. I try other ones and “tolerate” them, but I always go back to this. It just makes me “happy” every time.

    Hi Rhoda,
I love OPI’s “I’m not really a Waitress”, which is cheeky enough to wear in the summer, but can be worn all year round if you want. I also love OPI “Dutch Tulips”, since I am after all, Dutch 🙂
I am a retired Esthetician and found OPI to be the best polish for a longer wear. The other brand I liked was Creative.

A very summery color for sure! My toes are always French – I have a matching complex (thanks to me mother) so doing a neutral allows me to wear any color without matching it to my toes!

I like the C. Shrimp too. My favorite OPI is Grand Canyon Sunset – a great shade of pink, perfect year round. My favorite color for summer is Estee Lauder Juicy Melon – similar to C. Shrimp but has a little more pink in it and a bit of shimmer. I love the name OPI gives to their shades – so fun!

    * I'm w/ you! Bright corals/deep shrimps look great w/ a 9-month-a-year tan here in the desert~~~ in the winter I use a deeper, orangey-red… Pinks just don't look that great on ME, altho I do use them when I "must" (LOVE them, but MOST just don't go so well w/ my skin tones)…

Fingers & toes ALWAYS matchy-matchy (yikes!), but if you wear sandals as much as we do here, that "desert dust" can make a French Pedicure go south… FAST!!!

NOW girlfriend, what about our CROWNING GLORIES????

    Hugs,
    Linda
