Saturday’s Yardsale Finds

Yes! I’m still yardsaling some here & there. Today I stopped by a few sales nearby and as usual, didn’t leave empty handed. This cute little black/white harlequin drawer organizer was $2.00. See how it fits in with my office space decor?

It will be another good little storage piece for small things.
This shabby chic aqua & white bird was $3. It helps to run out of money sometimes. This was marked at $5, but after we had decided on $4, I checked my wallet & only had $3. She was gracious enough to let me have it for $3 (not entirely happy about it though). Don’t know where it will end up, but I loved it.
This pretty green glass pedestal was $1.00. I knew I could use it somewhere & I always love to have risers like this for displaying things. They are very useful for decorating, serving food & just whatever.
For now Mr. Bunny can sit on top. I can see this under my big cloche too, with something on top.
Large white urn was $5.00, my big spend of the day. I figured with all my other white pieces, this one would fit right in. I may have to figure out a pretty Christmas display with all my white creamware this year.
That was my Saturday. Hope you are all having a fun weekend & are out enjoying the weather and doing something you like to do!
Sandi, at The Whistlestop Cafe, was really sweet & tagged me for the award you see to the right, You Lift Me Up! Sandi, thank you so much! You’re a sweetheart & I really appreciate it. I am very grateful for these awards, but really hate to single out 4 or 5 people to give them to, so I’m just going to say that you ALL lift me up. Really…I have so much enjoyed getting to know all of you & I love it that you stop by to visit me.

Only one more post to go before the big 100!! Don’t miss the giveaway, I think you’ll like it.

Great finds! I looked in the area this morning for some yard sales but alas, I found none. You on the other hand did really well. I love the cream urn. Looking forward to your giveaway (selfish, I know.) Today is the last day to enter for my giveaway so if you haven’t had the chance to check it out, please do so.

    Thanks!

Why do you find such great stuff at the garage sales you go to? I wonder if people around there just have cool stuff and either don’t know it or everything everyone owns in your part of the country is cool, even their castoffs! I just don’t see that much around here worth buying. Garage sales are often JUNK sales, like stuff that should’ve headed to the dump. Not always, but more often than not.

    Lovely finds, Rhoda!

Rhoda…I went to that sale yesterday morning on the way back from preschool. I picked that thing up and put it down 3 times! I thought it was so sweet. In the end, I decided on a stack of Martha Stewart holiday magazines and a really sweet pair of bird book ends made out of painted iron.

Well, you’ve done it again. I’m drooling over it all. So glad you still have time to go to the yard sales so we can see what you get.

    Hugs!

    Hi Rhoda,
I love your yardsale finds. You do good!! I loved reading about your trip to Nashville, it’s gorgeous. I’ve been through Nashville a couple of times, but never stopped. I’ll have to next time I’m put that way. I just love getting to see Birmingham through your eyes. I appreciate it.
    Take care.

You are os lucky to have flea market/yard sales like that.
Here in Canada, we would NEVER find things like that for those prices, actually we dont even have flea markets or anything (in the province I live anyway) 🙁
Lovely finds, I love your house.

Thanks for the info. I may have to mix styles so I don’t have to use pink much lol. I had found a mustard yellow with roses I loved when I went home last. Maybe that was my start. I love your finds im sure they will be beautiful in your home.

    Hey Rhoda,
Looks like you did well at the sales. My most favorite thing that you found was the black/white harlequin organizer – LOVE that! I am actually in the process of painting a dresser that very same way – it’s in the corner of my eat-in breakfast area by the grouping of those cafe pictures. I’ll have to post about it when I’m done!

I meant to compliment you on your new haircut the other night when I asked if you were wearing it shorter – it looks good!

    Have a great evening!

I think the black and white organizer was just waiting for you to come along and snatch it up. It fits in perfectly. Once again you managed to find some really great items for rock bottom prices. I also enjoy seeing what white creamware pieces you find. I started some time ago buying creamy white ceramic pieces. I don’t a lot but it’s coming along. 🙂

    Hi Rhoda!

Another successful yard sale haul, I see!! I think you just have a great eye for scouting out the good sales, and determining what is worth rescuing and maybe even refurbishing. Yard sales sometimes require work and being able to see a diamond in the rough, and you are a master at both!!!

My favourite is the bird on the chippy pedestal. Heavenly…!!!
