Old world style is beautiful and I see many homes with old world charm and all the details that go along with that.  I don’t have that kind of home myself, but I can’t help but be captivated by these traditional types of homes with molding, beautiful finishes, and more.  Always classic, these stunning homes never go out of style.
Leslie Sinclair, with Segreto Finishes, who is one of my regular commenters here on the blog, is a blogger, and began her career as a decorative artist in 1995, when she started Segreto Finishes in the Houston area. Leslie’s passions are interior design, architecture, art, people, and business. Â With over 35 artisans, her company is a premier finish design firm in Houston and their work has been featured all over numerous national publications.
She has Georgia roots, she told me and is such a down to earth person. Â I haven’t met her in person, but I know we would hit it off. She’s in the process of renovating her current home in Houston and one of these days, when she is finished, I’m going to feature her on my Feature Friday series.
She is a published author with 2 books that I’m sure are coveted in the design world as works of art.  These coffee table books are stunning, drawing your eye in to all the lovely finished rooms and decorations. I’m sharing Leslie’s books today.  She sent these to me to check out and review and they are just lovely, beautiful books.  And they weight a ton too, so hefty coffee table books, they are.
I knew you all would love seeing these books too. Â Segreto Style is a book that shares how to create a palette to complement your homes architecture and design style and give your surroundings a completely new perspective.
This book is not just a regular decorating book. It’s chock full of full size pictures of beautiful rooms like you see here. Â If you love Old World, traditional, French style architecture and details, this book will be your favorite. Â It’s like having a years worth of beautiful magazine inspiration pics all in one spot.
Secret Secrets to Finishing Beautiful Interiors shares beautiful homes that serve as visual inspiration.
You can see from these photographs that these are outstanding and visually stimulating homes to admire.
Even though my home is not nearly as grand as these pictured, I’m sure I can get ideas on how to energize my own home.
I love the Old World style of this Butler’s pantry. Â Notice the paint finish on the cabinetry, such a warm and vintage look.
Even though I will probably never live in a house as grand as these are, I can garner ideas and inspiration for my own home.

Those floors are beyond beautiful! I mean the whole house is really breath taking and your right, we can take ideas and use in much smaller homes.
Totally, totally LOVE Leslie Sinclair and Segretto Finishes. I have her first book and LOVE it. She is a real treasure in our industry. First class! Thanks for featuring her and the decorative painting industry.
Hi Rhoda!! Wow thank you so much for posting about Segreto Style! So exciting to be featured on one of my favorite blogs!! From one Georgia Peach to another!! Thank you!!!
Leslie and Rhoda, I absolutely love, love, love the butler’s pantry pictured above. Do you know what colored paints were used to achieve the look. They say duplication is the highest form of flattery, and I want to duplicate that look!
HI, Amber, the best thing to do would be to go to Leslie’s blog, link in the post and ask her over there. She won’t see this post.
A dream home, for sure! Thanks for letting us have a peek into such beautiful design!
Wow, gorgeous photos! I love the archways as well as the paint finish on the cabinetry in the Butler’s pantry. Thanks for sharing!
