Fashion over 50: Shapeez Body Shapers

You’ve probably a heard about body shapers in the last few year and they really have caught on with so many women now. I have always had a pet peeve about panty lines showing in pants and try to not let that happen to me by wearing the proper shapers underneath, but there’s also other areas that can show bumps and bulges in our clothing that we’d like to hide too.

Namely: Back fat and muffin top

Am I right? Those unsightly little bulges that just can’t help but peek out from bras when they are under form fitting tops. Not a pretty sight! I’m thin, but even I have some slight bulges at times in tops that are form fitting.

I got an email from Staci, who designed a product called Shapeez, all about women’s bras and shapers, to make clothes look and feel better on.  I really liked the look of her products and she sent me a few things to try.  Foundation garments are so important in making clothes look better on.

They look very feminine and pretty.  Shapeez has a method for measuring that you can follow over there to ensure an accurate fit.  I sent my measurements to Staci and she sent me these to try out.  In fact, I’ve already worn the Shortee with a sweater dress and regular sweater. It was super comfortable and felt very lightweight, not moving around at all.  These will be my go-to now when I wear any dress or sweater that is more fitted on the top.

The shapers are so pretty and feminine, yet do the job they are designed to do.  I used Staci’s photos from her website, so you can see how they look on.

Staci has some pretty remarkable Before and After shots on her site of real life women wearing their Shapeez.  You’ll have to agree with me, that the Afters look amazing and so much more flattering!

The right undergarments can really make a difference in how our clothes fit.  No more back bulge!

I really love this one with the tummy control as well as back fat eliminator, wearing the Long Shapeez. She looks so much more perky in the 2nd pic!

Those unsightly bulges can ruin a look. Sometimes we forget to look at our backs in the mirror before we leave the house.

What a difference in this one!

BA_03

Pretty amazing how just wearing a body shaper bra can do all of that, but you can see the proof in the pictures.

I’m looking forward to wearing my new Shapeez with several of my outfits.

Just wanted to introduce you to Staci and her website, Shapeez.  I really loved what I saw and thought that you all would too.  If you’re in the market for body shaping undergarments, you may want to try out Shapeez.

Staci is offering free shipping to all my readers: SHFS2016 and it expires May 1

They look like a great product and are very pretty and feminine. However, in most of the pictures you can tell the woman just pulled her shirt down! Especially in the first photo you can see how much she pulled it down by looking at the pocket on the jeans. The peach is another obvious one. It’s been pulled taut for the photo and doesn’t drape in the ‘after’. It will likely bunch up as soon as she moves but it looks nice standing still. The pale blue and pale lime green seem very legitimate though and you can see how the lime green skims her back and manages to drape. As she moves it will likely stay free flowing and lovely. We all need a little help and these shapers do look promising!

I had the same thought as Kate-they just pulled their shirts down. How dumb do they think we are? Lol! It’s kind of too bad though, because for me, it takes some (actually, a lot of the) credibility away from what might be a legitimately helpful product.

Love, loved!! your cruise post, Rhoda-can’t wait to see the next installment! 🙂

Looking at the pics, I don’t see that they just pulled their shirts down. That still wouldn’t get rid of bulges. I’ve worn the shortee one and it does smooth out the back.

Maybe it’s just that the shirt is not getting caught in all the bulges, so it naturally lays flatter and lower. There’s no way just pulling those shirts down would make that much difference.

I agree Sam. I have those bulges, if pulling my shirt down would solve the problem, I would fasten it somehow. LOL Without the bulges, the shirts would automatically drape better and hang lower.

I agree, They are pulling those shirts down. Somehow they are using some kind of trick thing. Thought I was the only one seeing that. People will do all kind of tricks to make money. But then I looked at the lady whose arms were straight down, might be a trick to that one too. Not too sure about this item.

Skeptical Ladies, I think you have all missed the boat! A traditional bra causes the bulges due to the band and hook design that squeezes our bodies whereby creating a bulge. The Shapeez design eliminates that and fits more like a tank-top. You don’t have to look at the before/after pics to see the amazing results the product yields by itself. After reading the above post, I decided to order one and see for myself what all the buzz is about. I have to say I am more than impressed with the Shapeez fit, feel and look. Forget about the back for a moment, the bra is very supportive and so comfortable that I forget I’m even wearing one. I experienced similar back smoothing results as the B/A images above with NO-Ride-up. Delighted!!! If you are skeptical, try it for yourself as they offer returns and exchanges.

Hi Rhoda! I ordered the coral/white sweater you modeled last week from Chico’s. It arrived yesterday, and I LOVE it!! Also, I went back to look at your curtain stencil post and bedroom makeover (it appeared before I “found” you). What you did with your bedroom was amazing! Where you removed the sink and put in your beautiful dressing table was genius. I love sitting down at my vanity every day to put on my makeup, feels so pampering. Will check out the Shapeez.

Rhoda (or anyone else who has tried these), this intrigues me since I am, alas, a victim of several bulges. Does it feel snug or tight? Do the Shapeez make you too warm?

Jan, I’ve worn the short one of mine twice over the weekend and both times it was very comfortable and almost like wearing a sports bra and I forgot I had on. It stayed in place very nicely and felt very good on. I will definitely wear the longer black one when I have on a form fitting dress. I think the shorter ones will be something I’ll wear a lot under normal clothing, especially more fitted shirts and sweaters.

I agree with you, Rhoda. Pulling down the shirts wouldn’t get rid of the bumps. I see so many women walking around with form fitting tops with lumps and bumps showing. I just want to stop them and tell them about body shapers. It’s a pet peeve of mine. Rant over!

Those are so pretty! I have been buying the really nothing there bottoms from soma that take care of panty lines, but the back…I don’t care what size you are that just happens! Thanks for the before and afters it really helps show the magic of the product.

I am definitely interested in trying them out.

I’ve just discovered shape wear but wasn’t sure what pieces would work. This takes some of the guesswork out of it. Thanks for sharing!

Does it ride up around the waist? How does it stay in place?

Kelly, the black one I got is really stretchy so looks like it won’t ride up. I haven’t worn that one yet. I’m guessing the spandex keeps it in place.

      Hi Guys,
I’m Staci, the designer and CEO of Shapeez. I can be completely honest with you that the last before and after photo is ME! lol No we did not just pull down the tops in the after photos. The material in Shapeez is a luxurious silky microfibre that is WICKING (so it is not hot and it’s breathable too for all the “warmer” ladies like myself) and when it is on, it is not binding or too snug like a girdle. Most would describe it as a “second skin”. I promise you that Shapeez will not only do what it’s designed to do, it will exceed your expectations of what any undergarment is supposed to feel like on body. It’s not rocket science, it’s just a smarter, better bra (that also makes you look 15 lbs slimmer! Unless you’re blessed like Rhoda who is already perfect!”) Just be sure to measure well using our online measuring instructions and video. And don’t worry if the first size isn’t the perfect size, you can always exchange it. It’s life changing to have a bra you don’t want to rip off at the end of the day. Thanks to Rhoda to introduce Shapeez to all of you. You can email me directly at [email protected] for any questions about Shapeez.
      Sincerely
      Staci Berner
      President/CEO Shapeez

Very nice and feminine under pinnings. In addition to these buy the correct size regardless of what the label says. I have two different size tops depending on manufacture. Smiles

Bra lines, I am very ashamed to admit, keep me so distracted in church. The most attractive outfit can be ruined with all that. I should sit in the first pew but they are for walkers and scooters now. I’m 5’5″ and 130lbs but in spite of excercise, my fat level is building up and muscle level is dropping apparently because I’m getting back fat and a roll around my waist. I tried spanx but I felt like I was roasting alive, I’m so hot natured now. I found there is a store about 45 miles away. Yay! I’m heading up there my next day off and I hope they’re not too hot. Thanks Rhoda and Staci!
