Simple Fall Decorating Ideas

Fall is here even though the weather doesn’t reflect that at the moment. It’s a bit hot in Georgia at this time, but I did pull out a few of my fall decor items to get the house in the mood for autumn. I don’t go all out with tons of pumpkins and all of that, but I do enjoy a few things around the house that reflect the season.

The living room always gets something on the coffee table, so it’s just a small nod to fall.

I’ve been using my limelight hydrangeas more and more at the end of the summer season, because they dry so well and I love their color at this time of year. A small white faux pumpkin and preserved leaves and a cute blue owl is all that I used with the limelights in a rattan wrapped glass vase.

The console table always gets decorated for the season and so this year I added a fall inspired canvas print that I had that reflects the colors of autumn as well as blues that I love.

I’ve had all of these things for years and I do enjoy getting them out again every year. A pottery vase and pretty bowl with a leaf picks up the colors in the print. I love that little oil painting that I got in Round Top one year. Those faux fall leaves are bright, but I love them.

It’s amazing how cute white faux pumpkins can look under glass on top of a cake plate. That’s a small wreath underneath.

Hello Fall!

The dining room features more limelight hydrangeas in the middle copper glass vase.

I’ve had it for years too as well as the plates and other items on the table. I don’t buy all new, but I do enjoy using what I have.

These Royal Stafford English bird plates are so pretty and really have gorgeous fall colors. I got those years ago at Homegoods.

Simple and pretty!

Looking back to the foyer.

I added another pottery piece that I made years ago filled with pinecones and acorns. Another wrapped raffia vase is filled with faux fall berries.

Even though I don’t go really crazy with fall, it does make me feel ready for the season when I put out a few fall things and the limelight hydrangeas make it easy to do. Thanks for stopping by!

Your restrained fall decorating is much more elegant than the over-the-top decor I often see other places. I especially like the table setting. So pretty!

So pretty – simple and elegant! Also trying to use what I have and not purchasing more “stuff”. Have a fabulous Fall!

Thank you for reminding us that it’s okay to shop our home, use natural resources and keep it low key to enjoy the seasons.
You and Mark have a lovely home, always elegant, always using your personal tastes (such as bamboo, blue/white and pops of deco period) in your home and seasonal displays.
    Inspiring!

I absolutely love the gold “pagoda” lamps in your dining room. Sooo elegant.
