Spring Decor Ideas Around the House

Another spring is here and that means I get out my spring decor and add some touches around my house. I don’t go out and buy all new things, I just pull out what I’ve collected over the years. I have enough for sure and what I do have makes me happy and brings a touch of beautiful spring to our home. I really love the soft colors of this season and embrace the greens, blues and pinks. I hope you enjoy my spring home tour this year. You won’t see a lot of new stuff, but I always move things around a bit for a fresh look.

The living room gets a touch of spring on the coffee table with faux tulips I got last year at the Cotton Mill Exchange.

If I had known how much I would love these faux tulips, I would have bought 2 sets. The color is beautiful! I always get out my decoupaged blue and white Easter eggs, they are right at home this time of year. You can make them too, just click the link to see how I did them and a supply list at the bottom of the post.

Spring green, pink, blue and white and bunnies, what more could you want for spring.

I love our little living room and it’s a favorite spot to curl up on the sofa and read. Daisy always joins me. All I have to do is head to the sofa and here she comes. She stays up there with me all afternoon and we’ve spent some rainy Sundays on the sofa.

It’s a perfect little room and makes me very happy.

The foyer table is a favorite spot to change up for the seasons and spring is no exception. Some of my blue/green bottles and faux greens are mostly all that’s needed.

I like things a little simple, but pretty this time of year.

All of these faux stems are no longer available, or I’d link them for you.

This cute bunny is one of my all time faves and he’s been with me for many years. I think I picked him up at a local decor store.

The front door and foyer is our welcoming space.

I love my green bottles that I’ve collected and another green faux stem is all that’s needed.

The dining room is where I pull out all the stops and I love adding my green Bordallo bunny dishes to the dining table this time of year. I started collecting these about 25 years ago and I wish they would bring them back. I get asked about them often.

I found all of mine at Homegoods, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Tuesday Morning.

I adore all the greens on the table this year. I found that hydrangea runner at Homegoods last year. That green glass piece is an antique pickle jar I picked up on my junking trips.

More Bordallo green bunnies on the teapot.

This cute little guy I found on Marshall’s online a couple months ago and snatched him right up. He’s so cute and perfect for holding tiny eggs.

I got out my  Target flying bunny this year and added him to the sideboard. I’m thinking about painting the top metal parts gold. Those pagoda lanterns are no longer available, but I found a similar set that’s really close but they are small and larger.

I adore these plates still all these years later. You can find this bamboo flatware here.

I love a happy table!

All these colors look so pretty together.

Those bunny pieces came with lots of extra pieces like these leaf plates with bunnies.

And that’s the dining room table this year. I hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I enjoy putting it together.

I kept the mantel pretty simple with Staffordshire dogs, faux flowers, along with a canvas print that usually hangs in our bathroom. I decided to take it down and use it on the mantel for spring this year and I love it. This is Island Storm from Lindsay Letters.

These Staffordshire dogs were recently gifted to me from Mark’s mama, Joan. She knew I loved them and has a few sets, so these are now mine and I love them! I have another set, but these are so pretty with their pink collars.

They are a perfect complement to the mantel this spring.

I pulled out my old aqua glass insulators that I’ve collected. I just looked these up and they are pretty pricey now. I still love their color.

A peek into the kitchen with just a bit of spring faux tulips on display.

I added more of my green Bordallo dishes on my kitchen shelves and I love the green and white mixed with natural wood.

These are a few of my favorite things! I hope you enjoyed the spring tour this year and as always, thanks for stopping by. It would be pretty boring around here if you all didn’t show up. Happy spring!

A beautiful home. Loved the tour and so glad you use what you already have. We are in autumn (Australia), this already has me longing for spring. Although we are going to have hot weather this week.

Your house is so stunning, Rhoda. I just love seeing how you change it up for the seasons. And I enjoy seeing you bring out some of the same items each year and use them in different ways. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you, Pam, I do use the same things and try to mix it all up and it somehow works.

Hi, Susie, the dining room is blue grasscloth and I color matched it for the living room paint color, Spellbound by Ben Moore, but had it mixed at Sherwin Williams.

I love seeing how you decorate for the seasons. You may have written about this before and I missed it, but would you talk about how you store all of your goodies between seasons? I’m having a challenging time with it. Not a ton of storage here and my totes are taking over! Thanks for how you show us that decorating doesn’t have to be expensive, but with things you love.

Thanks, KP, I do use what I have every season without adding much new. We have a basement with those heavy metal shelves and that’s where I store all my pretties. It’s so nice to have a basement, but this is the first one I’ve ever had, so it is a luxury to have room to store it all there.

Your home is lovely, I always enjoy your art work in all the rooms. I especially liked your small rabbit picture behind the green dishes. I must have missed seeing Daisy, she is sooooo cute.

I do love your collection so classy. Those tulips look so real. Would you please provide links to some of your items? Please. Bunny rabbits, green bottles, jars, leaf plates, fuzzy green bunny in the tulips. Thanks. Have a blessed week.

Hi, Rory, I wish I could link them all, but they are all old pieces and not current, so I don’t have links.

Rhoda, I love the artwork on the mantle. Your decor colors are my favorites. Enjoy the week with Renae. Time for a break with your family.
