Spring Entertaining on the Patio

This post is sponsored by Trisha Yearwood Home Collection exclusively at Tractor Supply Co.

HI, friends!  It’s that time of year where we are getting ready for a busy summer outdoors, which means lots of entertaining and spending time outside.  All of that is great with me, as I love being outdoors.  Georgia gets really hot, but I have been so excited to get our patio set up for entertaining this year.  Since Mark and I both have our families nearby, there will be lots of celebrating out on that patio this year, I have no doubt. We’ve already used it twice and it’s been so nice and comfortable with all the seating we have.

Today, I’m going to share with you some entertaining ideas and some new products that I recently got for our outdoor spaces.  Having an area designated for entertaining outdoors is so important this time of year and having pieces that we can use to make things prettier and functional is also a win-win.

Spring Entertaining on the Patio

The patio got a good cleaning and with pollen season, it’s important to clean everything well before it gets too hot.  I even cover up all my patio furniture with a big tarp to keep it as clean as possible during rainy days and especially until after the pollen stops falling.

Keeping a patio clean all the time is no easy task, but covering my furniture definitely helps.   When the sun is out and we are ready to have folks over, the patio will be where we will spend so much time this year.  I’m excited to share it with you today!  I had all of this furniture on my old patio and it’s so nice that it fits perfectly here at our new house as well.

We did some Easter entertaining on this patio and it was such a perfect spot to gather family.

Spring Entertaining on the Patio

Mark and Holly were relaxing before Mark’s family came over and it was such a beautiful day.  I’ll share with you how I set things up and made it all pretty!

Adding some fresh hot pink geraniums was a good way to kick off spring.  I’ve planted some of these in my planters and hopefully they will add color all summer long.  I have a few more planters to fill with flowers too.

Let me show you a few new things I got from the Trisha Yearwood Home Collection carried exclusively by Tractor Supply!  You know I’m a fan of Trisha, a fellow Georgia gal and have shared a few of her recipes here on my blog.  These pieces are so colorful and also useful for entertaining outdoors and I think you’re going to love them!   Did you know Trisha has home decor accessories out?  I didn’t either, until now!

With a farmhouse feel, the aqua shades on these pices are perfect for perking up the patio space and this color happens to be part of my decor scheme out here, so it was a really good fit for our patio.

This pretty metal teal pedestal server can be used for so many things, like serving cupcakes or a cake.  It’s elevated which makes it so cute to use for a party or get-together and let your imagination take over as to what you can use it for.

I loved this pretty blue container which looks like an old milk crate and thought it would be perfect for holding some speciality sodas. It’s called a planter and would be pretty with plants, but I loved this idea too.  Add a little ice to ice things down and it’s a pretty way to serve cold drinks.

Spring Entertaining on the Patio

These sodas are my fave which Mark introduced me to, Sioux City Birch Beer!  Have you had them before? They are so tasty!  I just love how pretty this display looks on my blue potting bench, which also comes in handy as an outdoor server.  We had ham and fixings at our Easter gathering and I just piled it all on the potting bench for an al fresco buffet.

On the coffee table with the large sectional sofa, I have this pretty all weather wicker tray and these pieces made a gorgeous centerpiece for our party.

I love this cute planter with the saying, I Was Made for Sunny Days, such a happy and cheery way to add a plant to your summer decor.  Just add a blooming flower and you’re all set for a summer soiree!

Spring Entertaining on the Patio

This adorable little birdy is a colorful piece with metal wings and a distressed look. He makes a great little accent on the tray.  Easter candy was piled in an ironstone bowl and the kids loved it!

Spring Entertaining on the Patio

It was such a fun day of celebrating Easter with the family and these pieces made it all that much prettier.  You can see Holly back there, waiting for company to come over.  She loves it when all her people are around!

Adding an outdoor rug to your seating area is the best way to cozy up a space and this one is so pretty with all the colors I’m using out here. If you’re looking to add some color to your outdoor or indoor spaces with accessories, take a look at Trisha’s home collection. I thought these pieces were so fun and colorful!

Spring Entertaining on the Patio

We will no doubt enjoy this space all summer long and can’t wait for more family and friend gatherings on the patio.  We have plans to really spruce that area up below in the future, but for now, we’ll enjoy lounging on the sofa and enjoying this spot away from the heat of summer.

Spring Entertaining on the Patio

Entertaining and summer go hand in hand and making spaces pretty is always at the top of my list on enjoying our spaces even more.  Hope you got some ideas on making your outdoor spaces pretty and practical as well!  Happy Spring to you!  Summer is just around the corner, so make the most of those outdoor spaces and get them ready for entertaining.

And here’s some great news for one of my readers! I’ve got a $50 giftcard to give away to one of you, so I’m so excited to share the love on this one. $50 goes a long way in the Trisha Yearwood Home Collection.

I had trouble with the Trisha Yearwood giveaway. It would not bring up the keyboard to enter my favorite piece. The teal pedestal. It did say I had entered lol…..
Computer glitches seems I can always find them.

I love the sweet planter, it would be hard to decide what to put in it, but I’m sure I could come up with something!

I’m so glad to find out that Trisha Yearwood has this line of cute decorative items at Tractor Supply. I will want to go in with my husband every time he shops there now, which is quite often! My favorite piece of this collection is the “I was made for sunny days” planter. The color and the saying just make me happy and will fit in with my porch decor just perfectly. Thank you Tricia for this new fun line and thank you Rhoda for including this in your very inviting and functional patio. I always enjoy your blog and love your decorating ideas.

I was made for sunny days. I love the color and I live in NC and it has rained so much of Feb. March, and April, it made me smile, which I need in my life, things seem so much easier to handle when the sun shines.

THanks, Sofia, she does love her daddy! She’s a big girl and was born in East Germany, so she is bigger than most German Shepherds. She’s a sweet girl!
