The Kitchen Bling: Gold Faucet

I just can’t stop talking about our new kitchen and sharing all of the details, including today’s post about the kitchen faucet I chose. Faucets in a kitchen are really the icing on the cake, the jewelry to the space and I wanted one that fit our space and looked elegant as well. The Delta Trinsic® Touch 2O faucet was the choice for me in Champagne Bronze.

I knew from the beginning that I wanted a gold finish faucet in our kitchen. I had already added antique brass hardware to our kitchen cabinets and thought a little more gold in there sure would be nice, so the Champagne Bronze finish from Delta was the perfect choice and at the top of my list.

I narrowed my choice down to the Trinsic Kitchen Collection. Trinsic is sleek and pretty and that finish just makes me so happy! The design of the Trinsic Kitchen Collection is inspired by the sleek elegance of modern European design. What’s not to love about that?!

MagnaTite® Docking keeps the pull-down wand mounted securely in place and it also features DIAMOND™ Seal Technology that provides better reliability and performance.

In case you haven’t noticed what Touch 2O means you can tap this faucet anywhere on the spout or handle and the water turns on. There’s a battery pack under the sink that holds batteries. With normal use, the batteries last about a year.

There’s a button on the backside of the spray head that allows the water to switch from steady stream to the spray feature. Easy to use!

So far, I’m really loving this touch feature and am already used to tapping the faucet to turn it on and off. It really comes in handy when I’m cooking with messy hands.

For the faucet to be operable, you leave the handle out in the “on” position and a blue light indicates that the faucet batteries are working. If the handle gets turned off, the water won’t come out and if touched the battery will turn on, but nothing will happen, so you just have to get used to that part. It’s been easy to get used to and I love it already!

I also got the disposal and flange stopper in that beautiful Champagne Bronze finish and it looks so good with my Blanco sink.

The blue lights indicate that all is working well.

And the red light indicates hot water is coming out.

The off position.

The faucet is sleek and modern and I just love how pretty and functional it is in our kitchen.

It looks so perfect in our space and I love how it flows with the antique brass cabinet pulls and our beautiful brass light fixture in the adjoining dining room.

We are so happy with this kitchen renovation and I wouldn’t change a thing about any of the choices we made. It’s just perfect for us!

I’ve had a Touch 2O faucet for a couple of years now and I just love it!! Just make sure that you have fresh AA batteries on hand because when they go out, you are dead in the water!! Literally…

HI Rhoda! It’s gorgeous! I also have a corner sink with the window ledge above. How do you style the corner? #goals laura, rebranded previously not a trophy wife now everydayedits

HI, Laura, thanks for telling me your new name! I don’t style the corner, I use it as a drying spot for pots and pans & hand washed items. I have a drying mat there and if I have company over, I can easily remove it. It was such a large spot to ignore, so it’s perfect for my drying mat.

We’ve had our Delta faucet for about 5 years and have had to change the batteries only once. Love the finish on yours!

Your new kitchen is so beautiful Rhoda! I love the color you chose for your lower cabinetry. We recently added the same faucet to our kitchen and love it, too!

    Hi Rhoda,
Thanks for your post. We are in the midst of a similar kitchen reno. Have you been happy with the touch faucet over the last couple years since you remodeled? I’m not sure if I want to deal with batteries in my faucet but I assume if they die you just use the handle. I saw quite a few complaints online about the touchless faucets, so I like that you can touch this one anywhere and it turns on. I’d love to hear how it has performed longer term. Thanks for all the helpful info!

Hi Rachel, thanks for stopping by. We have enjoyed this faucet and honestly it has spoiled us. We go to other people’s houses and try to touch their faucets! I did read that it doesn’t automatically work with the handle if the batteries stop working or if something malfunctions, so be aware of that. So far it hasn’t been bad changing the batteries. Maybe twice a year we have to change them.Other than that, it’s great and we do love it.

Absolutely beautiful! I am remodeling my kitchen and am putting in the same blanco sink and champagne bronze faucet. What disposal and flange did you go with? It looks absolutely perfect together.
