I’m just getting back from the mountains and will share some pics later this week. It’s been a fun weekend with some girls at the Cashiers showhouse and browsing around some shops. Last hurrah of summer!
This week will be a little slow on the house, but I’ve got a few things to work on as my parents are up at their mountain house putting up corn. Those 2 work so hard on that garden too. I’m going to be putting up some beadboard wallpaper in my master bedroom, but I’ll show you the latest on the kitchen cabinets. They are really close to being finished and my installer will be back next Saturday to complete them. I hate to say it, but another trip to Ikea is in order for me to finish things up. I ended up buying my hardware from them too and I’ll show you all that soon. I’m SO excited about this kitchen and will be ordering my granite this week too and of course, sharing with all of you.
Let’s get on with the party this week and show off some of your finds from last week. I’m always amazed at the finds y’all score every single week.
All About Vignettes found the quirky vintage peacock art for $4 at a flea market and used it on her gallery wall.
Found from a website sale for $10, Blue Clear Sky got this cute thing.
A satin nickel chandy from restore got a blingy makeover from Land of Encraftment.
Mommy is Coocoo is not afraid of bold fabric as evidenced by this sofa makeover that she scored for $50.
Vintage fans are all the rage (I have 2 of them that I’ve scored) and DIY on the Cheap found this one at an antiques store in Atlanta.
Turquoise blue Pyrex, what’s not to love? Mrs. Olson has quite the collection of this popular again color.
Globes are always fun to decorate with and My Vintage Life has some beauties.
Vintage grains sacks from On Sutton Place look so pretty.
I love this old Bible find from Town and Country Living that she collected from a local thrift store.
Here’s more fun news for this week. My friends at Hometalk are having another Twitter chat this coming Thursday evening from 8-9 pm EST. I’ll be co-hosting with my friend Heather from At the Picket Fence. For extra excitement, Lowes will be giving away THREE $100 giftcards for 3 lucky winners. Hope you’ll join us!
Did you score something fun this week too?
There are a TON of parties out there to highlight all your projects, so please let’s keep this one about thrifty finds that were bought 2nd hand! Not a great sale from the store, or a recipe, or just a plain project, but 2nd Hand finds only! And please DO NOT go back in your archives to OLD posts and link up. Let’s keep this party fresh and current! If you have already shared your find in a previous party, DON’T share it again! Please, girls, I don’t want to have to delete links.
- Add your permalink to the link list, which is the actual post that you did for this party, NOT your general blog url. To get the actual post, after you publish the post, just click on the title and THAT will be your party post url. PLEASE try to get the correct url in the first time!
- Please add my button to your post or blog OR at least link back to this post in your post. That’s all I ask. It’s common courtesy to link back to the person having the party, so that all of your readers can find it too.
- Please do NOT link to an Etsy shop or something similar (even if you think it’s a fabulous deal) or I will delete the link. This party is for sharing thrifty finds from yardsales, thriftstores, or something along those lines. If I see that your post is not really on track with this theme AND you don’t link back, I’ll delete your link. Sorry, but I’d like to keep the party consistent!
IF YOU SEE THAT YOUR LINK HAS BEEN DELETED, IT IS PROBABLY BECAUSE IT IS NOT IN LINE WITH THIS PARTY THEME.
Again this year, I’ll be highlighting great finds from the party, so if you want your find highlighted, PLEASE link back to the party. Only those who link back will be considered for highlighting the next week. Thanks!
Thanks for hosting Rhoda 🙂
I can’t wait to see your kitchen when it’s finished. My brother is getting ready to remodel his kitchen, and he’s using a cabinet from Lowe’s that is very similar to yours. I’ll point him in your direction so he can be inspired!
Thanks for the party Rhoda! Great features! I’m so excited for your granite order!!! Glad you had a nice weekend…XO, Aimee

Thank you so much for the party, Rhoda! I recently pulled a second hand door out of a dumpster … not much more thrifty than that. Thank you for the opportunity to share it. 🙂

Hey Rhoda! Me again. Sorry – I messed up my post and had to re-do it and long story short … link #33 goes to a “page not found” on my blog if you want to delete it. I had to resubmit it as link #54. So sorry for the inconvenience!
Thanks for hosting the party again this week. I can’t believe that garage sale season is almost over. Where did the summer go?

I am dying over that reupholstered sofa! I would never pick that fabric myself (too chicken!) but the final product looks absolutely AMAZING!
