Thrifty Treasures Party Returns!

I’ve had several people tell me how much they LOVED my Thrifty Treasures party that ran on here for several years.  I gave it up last year after renovating my house and feeling like I just needed to move on from that and not do it every week.  I know so many people still love to get out and thrift shop, either at yardsales or thriftstores and I do too.  I  just haven’t had the chance to get out and shop thrifty as much because I already had so  many things packed away.  I finally feel like I can actually go shopping again and find a few things here and there, because I sure do enjoy the hunt. That’s the most fun part!

So, this yardsale season, I’m getting out there again and hitting some of the bigger neighborhood sales in my area.  Marietta was always a great place to yardsale and I did it years ago until I moved, so now it’s time to get back to it.  I can’t wait!

In honor of thrifty shopping, I’m going to bring back my Thrifty Treasures party which I usually posted on a Monday, but I’m only going to do it once a month now.  So, save up your unique and fun items to share and come over and link up the last Sunday/Monday of the month, April 27th (I usually start the party late on Sunday).  I’ll continue the party once a month through September at least and y’all can join in and share your finds once again.

I always had great feedback about this party, but with so many parties out there, it just seemed to run it’s course, but once a month will be fun to link up.  I hope you’ll join me later this month! I’m sure I’ll have a few treasures to share again too.

I remember linking to your party when I first started blogging. It not only brought a lot of new readers to my site, but also gave me great inspiration from other people! You throw a great party, and I can’t wait to do it again!

I’m always late to the party but I’ll look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with. I still have wonderful memories of you and Rhonda and I going to that awesome Neighborhood garage sale here in Raleigh and y’all helping me paint that awesome book shelf.

Rhoda, I enjoyed the Thrifty Treasures party so much, I especially enjoy seeing what people paid in their area of the country for their treasure. That’s half the fun, to see what a bargain they scooped…

Hi Rhoda, I’m so glad your party is finally back! You know how much I love thrifting. I even have my own booth in a Vintage Emporium now, that’s how much I love finding thrifty treasures.

I’ve been running my own link party now for a while on my blog – “Thrifty & Vintage Finds.”

Can’t wait for your posts, and I hope you’ll link up your fab finds to my party.

BTW, I’ll be coming to Haven with another blogging friend, who I met because she is also a vendor in the Vintage Emporium.

I love this feature on your blog. Maybe you can have your own tag sale, get rid of some things and make room for some new items. I enjoy seeing what you find! I agree with you that one of the secrets is to go early and grab what you see. I go to high end estate sales, arrive at 6 am for the “pre” sign-in sheet, stay until 9am for the official sheet, and enter as one of the first at 10 am. By 10:30, the really good stuff is GONE! I don’t mind all the time in the car as I catch up on my mail and other reading.
