Thrifty Treasures

Picture 002

It was a rainy Saturday morning and a holiday weekend is not the best for yardsales, but I did get out to a few of them, one right in my own neighborhood.  And I scored this really cute nightstand by Stanley for $10, that is all wood and will look GREAT with a coat of paint to freshen it up.  I can see it in white or black for a new update.  I didn’t get it for myself, got it for Debbie, who is looking for used furniture for herself or her son, so it will go to a good home.

It has great classic lines on it and will be so cute when it’s revived!

So, now it’s YOUR turn for the party this week! What have YOU found lately. Add your link to the Linky list and remember our guidelines for the party:

  1. Add your permalink to the link list, which is the actual post that you did for this party, NOT your general blog url. To get the actual post, after you publish the post, just click on the title and THAT will be your party post url. Last year, I can’t tell you how many links I had to fix. This year I might get mean & delete them, so PLEASE try to get the correct url in the first time! 🙂
  2. Please add my button to your post or blog OR at least link back to this post in your post. That’s all I ask. It’s common courtesy to link back to the person having the party, so that all of your readers can find it too.
  3. Please do NOT link to an Etsy shop or something similar (even if you think it’s a fabulous deal) or I will delete the link.  This party is for sharing thrifty finds from yardsales, thriftstores, or something along those lines.

Love the night stand. It will look great with a new paint job, and what fabulous extra storage too. Super price. Hugs, Marty

I love your treasure and can’t wait to see what you do with it. That was so thoughtful of you to think of a friend in this way. Thanks for hosting and have a great week.

I found something similar to use in our bedroom a few weeks ago, and as much as I wanted to, I didn’t paint it b/c it was technically a birthday gift for the hubby and he likes “real wood” plain! But it’s great for him to have a couple drawers right next to the bed!

And it must be the rural-ness of my community, but I haven’t seen a single yardsale yet. I’m waiting patiently though, making my list of things I’d like to find!
