Tips for Decorating a Nursery

Since my niece, Lauren, is expecting a new baby soon, I’m sharing another of the fun videos that my friend, Lindsay, from Makely did for Glidden, all about tips for decorating a nursery.

Lauren is getting really busy with that project soon and we just found out IT’S A GIRL!!!!  We are so excited and I’m especially excited that I’m going to be a great Aunt.  How fun is that?  This little baby girl will be such a big addition to our little family and I can’t wait for her to get here sometime in mid-February.

So, I’ve shared the striped khaki nursery walls with you and now we have a fabric picked out that I’ll be sharing more about with you later on, so that’s the beginning of our baby girl nursery.

Khaki stripes and baby girl pink toile!

This beautiful pink toile from Online Fabric Store is going to be the star of the nursery with new drapes, coming soon!  Of course, I’ll share all the details as they unfold.

In the meantime, there are several more how-to videos from Glidden and one of them is tips for decorating a nursery.  Lindsay shares some great ideas on how to start the nursery decorating process, so take a look at this short video.

There are several How To videos offered at the Glidden site and Lindsay has done a great job on all of them. Very proud of her! You can also check out How To Prep Your Walls For Painting, How to Paint Trim, and How to Get Clean Lines without Using painter’s tape.  Lots of great tips in all the videos!

Note: I have partnered with Glidden/Akzo Nobel Paints to write this post, but the thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

My very favorite fabric is toile and I love that pink . That will look great with those stripes. Can’t wait to see it finished.

Oh my goodness, I love that pink toile featuring cherub-like children at play! I have never seen one like that – the brown with the pink, along with the khaki stripes is sure to make for great, classy-looking nursery. Great choices!
