Saturday was a very exciting day in our family. My niece, Lauren, graduated from lawschool 2 weeks ago & my sister threw her a celebration party this weekend. There were old friends, new friends, and family there & we all had a great time. Once again, my sister outdid herself on the food, serving ribs, BBQ pork, and all the fixins’. The weather really cooperated & it was a very comfortable time sitting out on the porch again. She has a busy summer planned & is now taking a prep course for the bar exam, which will be in July. After that, she’s got a 3 week trip to Europe on the calendar before she comes back & settles in on her new job…being a lawyer! I know she’s excited about her new vocation, although she did tell me last year that she would like to be a professional student if she could. That’s how much she enjoyed school & everything about it. I had to laugh at that one, as everyone in my family can’t wait to get her out of school….finally! LOL
The cake was yummy! Isn’t it cute?
My sister had this nifty banner over the frontdoor for her.
Happy Monday!

Saw your comment on Susie Q’s blog and thought I would drop by and say hello. My hubby is from Alabama…Cullman.
I too just finished reading Paula Deen’s book. Now she’s a character and so funny. She had me laughing out loud at some of her antics.
Drop by my blog sometime.
Beautiful picture of you and your niece. Aren’t nieces special, you must be very proud of her. The banner over the door is a great idea to pay tribute to all her hard work. You and your hubby are too cute.
