Happy Saturday, friends!
If there’s anything that gets my attention, it’s free food. You’d think as much as I like to eat that I might weigh a lot more, but really I do love good food. Most of the time, I prefer my food to be fresh ingredients, cooked at home with simple fare and tasty herbs. But, sometimes as we all know, time gets in the way and you just have to take shortcuts some days in order to get something in that tummy.
I don’t buy a lot of frozen meals, but have been known to get by on these when there is just no time to cook. The fine folks at Zatarain’s recently sent me some freebie coupons to try out their new frozen entrees. You know they are known for tasty dishes and spicy Cajun flavor and these meals don’t disappoint. Heat and eat, can’t get any easier than that!
I popped into my local Publix to see what they had and picked up 3 different varieties (some I got more than one) and these are the ones that looked good to me and my taste buds.
I’ve already tried the Chicken Alfredo and the Chicken with Yellow Rice and both were equally tasty. Zatarain’s is known for their flavorful foods and these live up to the spicy, tasty standards that you normally think of when you hear the name Zatarain’s.

I have used many of their boxed rice products and I, too, was not aware they now have frozen meals. The blackened chicken alfredo would be top on my list.

I have tried the jambalya & cheese and REALLY like it a lot, but I have never tried the frozen entree before and would love to have the opportunity to try one for FREE HOOT HOOT !!!
Our family eats a lot of rice and we try the different flavors they have. I would love to try these new dinners.
I just like how Zatarain brings out the taste and flavors of New Orleans to my kitchen table.
If I get home from work and I didn’t plan a meal, Zatarain bean and rice dinners are great. It is fast food without all the fat and calories. My husband and I love it.
My husband is addicted to Zatarains Black Beans and Rice! We add turkey sausage and this makes a delicious(and inexpensive) meal.
I have purchased the yellow rice because it is gluten free. It is delicious! My husband must be on a GF diet!

I love Zataran’s! My husband & I cook the jambalaya all the time.
We love their Jambalya. Hope that’s spelled right. We add sausage and shrimp and sometimes corn to it. Very yummy.
I have ALWAYS wanted to try those! I walk by them every time I go grocery shopping but never actually put grab them….now I HAVE to put them in my cart! 🙂

My husband and I love Zatarain’s! My favorite is the chicken and yellow rice. I just think it is delicious, and I am not really a fan of frozen meals in general.
I’ve used their jambalaya mix before and the husband and I loved it!
I never make red beans and rice without Zatarains seasoning mix……it gives the beans that real New Orleans flavor!! I would like to try the frozen entrees they sound really good and consideringnwho makes them I’m sure they are!! Thanks for the giveaway!! Take care, VBg
