Amanda’s Familyroom

It’s been awhile ago that I did this online consultation for Amanda, but just haven’t had a chance to share it yet.  Amanda wanted some help in her familyroom.  They have a leather sofa and ottoman and an armoire that they are working with, so after she sent me pics of the space, I got to work on an Inspiration board for her.She needed a rug, drapes, and end tables and lamps to make the room complete.

And here’s what I came up with for Amanda’s space. She’ll need a couple of chair and several other items to complete the room. She also mentioned that she loves horses, so I put some prints in with a western feel.

Amanda found a new rug on Overstock.com and sent me a pic. I can’t wait to see the rest of the room as it comes together.

If you’d like a consultation for one of your rooms, please visit my Online Consultation page and take a look at the 2 options available.  I love helping out with a decorating dilemma!

I’m taking a little blog break this week, so you won’t see me around as much as usual.  It’s that time of year, when the chillin’ is good.   I do have another book giveaway coming up later this week!

I love your digital inspiration board. I have a couple of friends that trust my “expertise” (ha!) enough to let me decorate and organize their homes- can’t wait! This post gives me ideas on how to help them.

Great inspiration board. Will you be posting after pictures when it’s finished? I’d love to see them. My interior design firm has mostly focused on new construction and high end residential design but we’re in the process of developing some budget conscience options as well. I can’t wait to see some more of your work.

Enjoy your break dear friend! We’re off to the gulf area this weekend for a little rest, we have both been so busy for quite some time and we just need to get away for a few days.

    Rhoda,
Is it ok to pull window coverings to the window sill on bay windows when there is a window seat or should they just be valances.

    thanks,
    Donna

HI, Donna, without seeing a pic, I do think you could do long panels on either side of a bay window with a window seat. I’m not an expert on bay windows, but I’ve seen that before. I’m sure there are a lot of pics out there for bay windows if you Google it.
