Did you hear the big news?
Annie Sloan is here in the U.S. and is making her way around the country, teaching workshops on how to use her famous Annie Sloan chalk paint in her first ever North American tour! As a new user of Annie Sloan chalk paint, I can tell you I have really enjoyed using it on furniture. So far, I’ve painted curtain rods and my sister’s orange craft table (which I’ll be sharing the finale of later this week). The paint is great and I love working with it. Especially now that I’ve got the wax part down pat.
I have been hearing she is coming to Atlanta and it sounded like an exciting event. It’s an all day event next week (from 8:30 to 5:00 pm), on March 29th, down in Peachtree City, just south of Atlanta. Tickets include breakfast and lunch and all the workshop materials.
There is still time to sign up for the workshop if you are in Georgia or any surrounding areas. I know it’s going to be so much fun!
Are you ready for the excitement?!
I can hardly wait to tell you this one!
Annie Sloan Unfolded, the international distributor for Annie Sloan Chalk paint and Robyn Story Designs, one of the premier Annie Sloan stockists in Florida (who will be helping teach the workshop), is giving away a fabulous prize package that you are going to be over the moon excited about!
OK…..I am about to die because I’m getting a free ticket to attend the workshop here in Atlanta AND get this….
One of YOU will get a ticket too!
What is up for grabs? Everything in the picture above including 2 quarts of Annie Sloan paint, clear and dark wax, brushes, those beautiful knobs, colorcharts, gilding wax AND MORE!
Can you still enter even if you can’t come to the Atlanta workshop? YES, you can! IF the initial winner drawn can come to the workshop, they will get the prize package AND the free ticket to the workshop.
If that person cannot come to the workshop, I’ll draw another winner for the ticket giveaway only. Does that make sense?? I promise, it will be fair to all!
Here’s how you can win, leave a comment for each one:
- Leave a comment on this post and tell me IF you can attend the workshop here in Atlanta on March 29th and WHY you are so excited about going to the Annie Sloan workshop?
- Go and visit Robyn’s blog, look at the Annie Sloan paint colors and tell me which one you are dying to try?
That’s it! I’ll leave the comments open through the weekend and choose a winner late Saturday evening.
Check out Annie Sloan Unfolded for the retailer nearest you!

I’ve been purchasing and collecting furniture for months now waiting for the weather to break so I can start painting. I’ve never used ASCP and I’m so looking forward to my first purchase and experience with it! Everyone seems to love it so much! I can’t make the tour down there, but I would love to win your gift give away !!! You should see the mound of furniture in my basement … my poor husband has to workout around it!

I would love to go to the workshop on March 29th and could indeed go. I am a Marine wife living in Albany, GA and just started painting with AS and am dying to learn more. As a frequently moving military wife, I have to be very flexible with our decorating and I have found painting furniture a great way to bring a touch of home to our quarters. I have several projects lined up and have completed three so far. I would love to join all the wonderful creative people at this workshop. My dream color to try is Emperor’s Silk. Emperor’s Silk reminds me of the Chinese reds I have seen while living overseas. Thank you.

I have fallen in live with Annie Sloan paint. I haven’t done a lot of pieces but love what I have done. I am trying to get the courage to use Barcelona Orange. It looks super! Would love to see projects done in this color.

I would love to attend the class in the east coast of florida, but I live on the west coast of florida. I would like to give a real dark jewelry box that my wife has a driftwood ( light grey/white) finish. I am in the process of changing our home from Northern dark furniture to cool, light, off white leather and rattan to give it a real South Beach or Key West look. I have been using Aqua, Coral, yellow, peach, seafoam green, pale blue and everyother color I can think of. Driftwood came to mind and I have tried a white base with a light grey dry brushed over with some grain added, but it didn’t look the way I wanted it to look. Thank you in advance for any help you may offer me. Dominick
