April Thrifty Treasures

My weekend was fun, how about yours?  I did get out to 2 neighborhood yardsales and it was exciting once again to scour the sales to see what bargains were out there. I’m really being careful these days what all I bring in my house, because I have so much already with furniture and accessories and really do not have room for a lot more, but it’s been fun to get out there again.  Treasure hunting can’t be beat for entertainment!  You know what they say about the thrill of the hunt.  It’s true!

My first stop at the Legacy Park neighborhood sale in Kennesaw, I scored a pair of World Market drapes for $20 and my first thought was my laundry room.

world market drape fabric

This is a true shot of the color of the drapes, a gray background with vivid blues and greens.  I had a chevron fabric in there, but really thought a floral would be a good mix with my graphic stencil on the wall and the rug in there.

This shot doesn’t show the color that well, but I really do like the mix of the floral in there. This is the drapes I hung from the water lines above with hooks and they hide the ductwork as well as provides a storage closet behind the curtain.  It really adds so much to my laundry room too and for $20 a definite YES.

I do love the mix in here.

On Saturday, my sister and her friend and daughter all met up and we hit another big neighborhood sale up at Bridgemill in Canton, for those of you local. It’s always a fun sale and there were plenty of folks out on this gorgeous Saturday we had.

My sister was looking for baby stuff and found plenty of that, so she carried home a lot of goodies, along with this $30 chandelier made by Thomasville.  It still had the tags on so was definitely a steal. She’s planning to put it in her master bath water closet.

It was a fun day and I really enjoyed getting out there again. I’ll be stopping by more along the way as the weeks go by, but will be limited on bringing home a lot more STUFF. Don’t we all have too much already?!

It’s baaaaack!!  So, today I’m going to link up the Thrifty Treasures party for April, so I hope you’ll share your finds too!

On another note, our cutie pie, Parker, got all dolled up for Easter and I had to share a pic of her looking so adorably sweet.  Her parents are pretty stylish too!  The family pic wasn’t Easter, but a good shot of all of them.

REMINDER:  If you are linking up to the party, be sure and link your post URL and NOT your main blog url. That way the links will always be on there and people can find you months from now.  And if you are linking up a new post, PLEASE link back to my party, so others can find it too!

Thank you so much for this opportunity to share my post at your link party. My thrifty treasure is a darling orange quatrafoil outdoor rug. It is a walmart special…and so much cheaper than many other stores and online shopping sources.
Our son bought his dad two army rockers last year and we needed something to cushion the wooden rockers from the rough concrete. Surprise for me…it looks great! I think it pops!
    Thanks for being so gracious!
And btw…your niece and baby are darling!

Parker Fox is just adorable!! Before she was born you said that her father’s gene’s would dominate. Now that she is here, what is the consensus on who she looks like?

Lindy, we still think she definitely has a strong leaning towards her father’s side of the family, but I posted a comparison over on my Facebook page of her and Lauren’s baby pics and there’s some favor there too. Who knows how she will eventually turn out? She’s going to be cute no matter what.

Aw, Parker is just so adorable!

I’m so glad you brought back this party, Rhoda, so much fun to see everyone’s thrifty finds. Your laundry room is so cool. I linked up a thrifty find I scored just today.

    See you at Haven!
