Blogger Stylin’ Fall Home Tour

Last week, I shared my Fall foyer and this week, I’m joining another fun blog hop with Lindsay at The White Buffalo Styling Company, sharing lots more Fall inspiration on the Blogger Stylin’ Fall Home Tour.  I worked on getting something cute up on my mantel this year for Fall, as well as a little something in the dining room, again using things I have around the house.  I like to keep it simple, as you know!

It’s a Fall party, y’all!

Welcome to Fall at my house!   If you missed last week’s tour of the foyer table, with more Fall touches in the living room, check out this Fall décor post.

I’m still loving my turquoise front door and the peacock wreath makes it pop even more.

My new front porch is everything I dreamed it would be and I didn’t have it finished this time last year, so  it’s been extra special to help enjoy Fall.

My living room has a giant rock fireplace and I’m excited that before Christmas this year and Christmas decorating starts, my dad and I are going to add white planks above the rustic fireplace mantel and I think that is going to give me the look I’m after.  I don’t mind the stone fireplace, but it’s just too much rock.  I can’t wait to  have that white background to decorate with.

So, moving on to the fireplace itself.  It’s rustic and weathered and so I use those kinds of accessories to make it all work. White looks great against the stone, so that’s what I tend to use.

White urns, botanical print, pinecones and dried hydrangeas round out the fireplace mantel.

My dried hydrangeas add a lot of natural plant material to my décor this year and I’m loving it.  Pinecones are always in style!  I clipped those lichen covered branches from nearby trees last year and love the added nature they bring to the mix.  Bring the outdoors in, I always say!

Sticks and feathers in another white urn are always useful to decorate with too and give a natural nod to Fall.  The Rejoice in the Lord Always sign is from a local vendor, Scripted Simplicity (new name!) and I picked it up at Woodstock market.  Love it in the mix too!

Another peek at the painted acorns that were gifted to me.   In the metal acorn dish that I found at a yardsale, they are right at home.

The Fall living room with just a few simple touches.

The blue side table in the living room has a bit of Fall feel with the cotton that came from Alabama.  Most of these things are thrifted finds, except for the bunny pottery.  He came from Birmingham too from a pottery company.

One more peek at the foyer table that I shared last week for those who missed it.

Moving on to the dining room, this space is very neutral so Fall comes easy in here with the dried brownish toned hydrangeas in the soup tureen and a few other touches.

Gray, brown, gold and white are the colors in here, muted and calming.

I still love my dining room and how all the furniture fits in here so nicely.

I added a simple bowl of dried muted blue hydrangeas to the cake stand and covered it with a big cloche.  I just love the colors in these hydrangeas.  I’ve found that picking them when they are starting to fade and hanging them upside down with rubber bands is the best method for me of getting the colors to stay.  I simply picked them, hung them upside with with a rubber band around the base and hung them in my garage for a few days.  The ones under the cloche is that method and they really kept their beautiful green/purple tones.  The brown ones on the sideboard, I dried in water and they did not keep their color, although I still like their colors in here.

They do say Fall in spite of being brown, so they get to stay.
