Blueberry Cookbook Giveaway

{Giveaway is Closed}

A very sweet reader in NC emailed me about their 7th annual Blueberry Festival that is held every year in Burgaw, NC.  And she also sent me a copy of their blueberry cookbook, which is chock full of great recipes using at least 1 cup of blueberries, retail value $18.

The festival began back in 2004 and recipes were collected over the years. Finally, enough recipes came together to compile a cookbook  with over 300 blueberry recipes.

I know many of you are berry fans also and would love to have a copy of this cookbook too, so she is graciously giving away 2 more copies to my readers.  All you have to do is leave a comment telling me your favorite way to eat blueberries.  If you don’t win, but would like to purchase a cookbook, you can call 910-259-9817 for all the details.

We LOVE blueberries in our family!  My parents have huge bushes up at their NC house and it’s a treat to go up there and pick this time of year.  In fact, we’ll be going up there very soon doing just that.  Blueberries are SO good for you too, you can’t eat too many of them.

OK, leave a comment and I’ll pick 2 winners for your very own copy of the NC Blueberry Festival Cookbook.

    I love blueberry clafloutis – it is the most incredible splurge. With ice cream! We also love blueberries on salads and just by themselves.

    On my back on the ground in the Swedish alps just reaching out and plucking it straight off the little bush and dropping it into my mouth.

    Blueberries…one of my favorite! They are delicious just by themselves as a snack, great in pancakes, a baked blueberry crisp or my mom’s blueberry jam recipe. The cookbook sounds wonderful!

    I love blueberries no matter how they are served. Probably my favorites that I make are struesel topped muffins or coffee cake. A cook book with only blueberries would sure be treasured.

    Hmmm…hard to choose just one so I will mention two: one is in a blueberry crumble and the other is in a mixed berry compote of blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and strawberries, chilled, with a little Equal sprinkled over them for sweetness and a dollop of whipped cream or Cool Whip on top…heaven in a dish!!!

    Oooh, yum! I can’t wait for blueberry season each year. We LOVE blueberries on top of our waffles (which already have peanutbutter on them), and blueberry muffins, in smoothies, in fruit salad…..I could go all Forrest Gump on you and keep going! How nice of her to send you these. 🙂

    I would lovvvvvvvee to have one of those cookbooks. I live in the blueberry capital in GA. We also have a blueberry festival every year and many of our friends are blueberry farmers. I always enjoy getting sweet, delish blueberries from our friends. I would absolutely love to try out some yummy blueberry recipes. Thanks so much. BTW I just love reading your blog. Thanks again.

    Cobblers and Pies have got to be the best way to eat blueberries. My hubby eats them every morning on his cereal and, of course, nothing beats a blueberry muffin. So I guess the bottom line in our family is, as long as it contains blueberries, the recipe will be great!
