Blueberry Cookbook Giveaway

{Giveaway is Closed}

A very sweet reader in NC emailed me about their 7th annual Blueberry Festival that is held every year in Burgaw, NC.  And she also sent me a copy of their blueberry cookbook, which is chock full of great recipes using at least 1 cup of blueberries, retail value $18.

The festival began back in 2004 and recipes were collected over the years. Finally, enough recipes came together to compile a cookbook  with over 300 blueberry recipes.

I know many of you are berry fans also and would love to have a copy of this cookbook too, so she is graciously giving away 2 more copies to my readers.  All you have to do is leave a comment telling me your favorite way to eat blueberries.  If you don’t win, but would like to purchase a cookbook, you can call 910-259-9817 for all the details.

We LOVE blueberries in our family!  My parents have huge bushes up at their NC house and it’s a treat to go up there and pick this time of year.  In fact, we’ll be going up there very soon doing just that.  Blueberries are SO good for you too, you can’t eat too many of them.

OK, leave a comment and I’ll pick 2 winners for your very own copy of the NC Blueberry Festival Cookbook.

    I remember growing up in NE Pennsylvania going out picking wild blueberries with my grandfather. I don’t know if I ate more in the field or put more in my basket but it was pretty close. I love blueberry muffins, pie, cake, cobbler, betty and any other way to use them. I also love blueberries with milk and sugar on them. It’s amazing that something so good is also good for you.

    First choice is fresh like candies. Better for you and less calories too.
    Second is in a bowl with a dash of cream poured over (I have lots of willpower as I never use it!)
    Third is a blueberry torte
    Fourth is in a batch of muffins

    We have three small bushes that produce all summer… but we share them with the deer!

    PS I live on the west coast of Canada… but my daughter lives in NC! Can’t wait to come and see the state first hand…

    I have a fabulous recipe for Alaska Blueberry Coffee Cake. It has a yummy streusel topping. I love to serve it to our overnight guests.

    We are blueberry crazy here! I put at least 30 quarts in the freezer every summer, and that’s not counting the ones we eat while picking or the ones we use to make muffins, blueberry crisp or jam! Would love to have a new cookbook!

    I keep fresh blueberries in the freezer. For breakfast, I make hot oatmeal, and put frozen blueberries on top. You get hot along with frozen in every bite! YUM. Also put frozen blueberries in cereal & they keep the milk ice cold til the end!

    Straight off the bush! My 13 year old just brought home over a gallon of them the other day. We ate till we were almost sick! I freeze most to use in baking and smoothies, but we love to just eat them as a treat.
