It’s been 7 years since we went on the beach trip to Tybee Island that was so much fun. Since summer is here, I thought you’d enjoy a peek at Mary Kay Andrews Breeze Inn again. It will get you in the mood for a beach trip for sure. Please note, the giveaway was long ago, this is not a current post!
******************************************

I hope you are not tired of seeing these beach cottages on Tybee Island, because I warned you I took lots of pics.  They are too beautiful not to share!  One of the cottages that our group stayed in on Tybee Island with Mermaid Cottages was The Breeze Inn, another of Mary Kay Andrews beach cottages.  It’s such a beauty with an old style beach feel, just as you’d expect from a 60’s beach resort. That’s the feel some of these cottages have. I love the nostalgia created on Tybee and it truly is a fun getaway.  I can’t wait to go back!

The Breeze Inn. Doesn’t this pic just make you smile?

Inside is a welcoming beach cottage chock full of vintage goodness.

The living room is a happy mix of coral, blues, and greens. Those cute vintage shutters make the space so quaint.  Check out those lamps, too cute.

We sure loved gathering in here and seeing all the cottages up close.  The 4 Pike Road, AL ladies stayed in this cottage and they loved it.  I can see why. It’s so charming and adorable.

I would love to win this for my sister, who is retiring after 34 years of educating the children of Cherokee County. For 51 of her 56 years on earth she has been going to school…either as a student or teacher- without a single summer off or vacation! Susan is an extraordinary example of the perfect educator- volunteering her time to ensure the success of her students, through free tutoring sessions, starting a Senior with Seniors program where high school seniors visit, write about and form friendships with senior citizens in nursing homes, keeping a “Hungry Kud” drawer full of nutritional snacks, and spending thousands of dollars to clothe and feed her kids, pay for field trips, purchase yearbooks and so much more. She spends 40+ hours each week grading, refining, and giving feedback to her students, so they will become better writers.

As a Literature and Writing teacher, my sister, Dr. Susan Buice, appreciates the writing abilities of Mrs. MK Andrews and admires her above many. She has all of her books, and has expressed a desire to visit Tybee to see these cottages. Imagine her surprise and my joy, if I could give her this weekend getaway as a Retirement Gift!

Thank you for your blog and this opportunity. Congratulations on Miss Parker!!

My favorite thing is the shabby chic look of the cottages! The colors and fabrics make you feel relaxed just looking at the pictures! Thanks for the chance to win!

I love that Tybee is so close to downtown Savannah. I love the beach and grabbing fish tacos at Sting Ray’s. I also love that every time I’ve been out to the beach there I have seen dolphins 😉

My husband and I just LOVE taking our two girls to Tybee Island in the off season! It’s not too crowded but still warm enough to go swimming. We did not get to go last year but are really hoping to make it out there this year.

What I love most about Tybee Island so far is simply that it is in the South! I went to Savannah about 8 years ago and fell in love with the architecture and culture. I was on a tour and the guide talked a lot about Tybee Island but we did not make it over there. I believe the guide said that Sandra Bullock has a home there.

Wow, I really like this place! My best friend is currently in labor, and my husband and I have plans to visit in May. This looks like a lovely place we should check out while we’re in GA.

Tybee Island and Savannah have to be my favorite places to visit. Unfortunately, I’ve only had the opportunity to visit once. But, my dream vacation would be a week at the Breeze Inn!

I love the look and feel of the Mermaid Cottages …. they all look so comfortable and inviting. Ever since Sandy in 2012 we have had one difficulty after another… physical, financial, emotional… we are just all wiped out and have not had a vacation since 2004. We could use some family time to relax in a nice warm place. This would be such a blessing.
