It’s been 7 years since we went on the beach trip to Tybee Island that was so much fun. Since summer is here, I thought you’d enjoy a peek at Mary Kay Andrews Breeze Inn again. It will get you in the mood for a beach trip for sure. Please note, the giveaway was long ago, this is not a current post!

I hope you are not tired of seeing these beach cottages on Tybee Island, because I warned you I took lots of pics. They are too beautiful not to share! One of the cottages that our group stayed in on Tybee Island with Mermaid Cottages was The Breeze Inn, another of Mary Kay Andrews beach cottages. It’s such a beauty with an old style beach feel, just as you’d expect from a 60’s beach resort. That’s the feel some of these cottages have. I love the nostalgia created on Tybee and it truly is a fun getaway. I can’t wait to go back!
The Breeze Inn. Doesn’t this pic just make you smile?
Inside is a welcoming beach cottage chock full of vintage goodness.
Bookcases filled with books and slipcovered chairs.
The living room is a happy mix of coral, blues, and greens. Those cute vintage shutters make the space so quaint. Check out those lamps, too cute.
An old fashioned ceiling fan.
Living room looking towards the dining area. Check out the sailfish over the TV.
Fish chest by the front door.
Looking into one room with a daybed.
Turquoise daybed.
Charming white planked walls going upstairs.
Right out back is a cute screened porch with an old green glider and vintage rattan furniture. I love this mix and the SEA sign.
The Sea, what a great place to relax.
The pink fridge was fun.
The whole screened porch.
One of the bedrooms.
And bathroom
Upstairs, is a room with 3 twin beds and it has such a cute feel with red, white, and blue Americana.
Love this, can’t you see 3 little ones in here?
The master in shades of blue and white.
Love all those shuttered windows.
Armoire with old suitcases.
This little hallway goes to the master bath inside the bedroom.
Very cute and quaint in shades of soft blue and white. Look at that bird holding the toilet paper roll.
A cute little ducky.
Treasures from the sea on those vintage sconces.
A cute desk with old typewriter and above is Mary Kay’s book covers framed.
A Breeze Inn vignette.
Downstairs bath.
I love the old watering cans and pails she has collected.
A warning for guests…Careful you’ll end up in my novel.
The kitchen with white cabinets and lime green walls. You know I love this!
And that big ole’ cast iron sink makes me smile too.
Such a cute kitchen with the vintage red signs.
A lovely wall.
Vintage curtains too probably made from an old tablecloth.
We sure loved gathering in here and seeing all the cottages up close. The 4 Pike Road, AL ladies stayed in this cottage and they loved it. I can see why. It’s so charming and adorable.

The low-key atmosphere and the food!
the vintage items used in the cottages
Love the cottage.
Tybee makes you feel like you entered a different era – makes you put your worries away once your car crosses over – we all need a little break from reality
I have always wanted to visit Tybee! I want to walk the beach, shop the adorable shops and stay in a mermaid cottage. What a fun dream!!
Could anything be better than staying in the setting of a Mary Kay Andrews book? The thought of it makes me giddy…. not to mention being on Tybee….
Love, love, love Tybee……a little bit of heaven on earth….actually drove by the Breeze Inn and visited Seaside Sisters……would love to stay there…..
Despite living in Georgia all my life, I have never been to Tybee Island. I love the pictures Mary Kay Andrews paints with her words, and would love to visit this area.
Looks like a comfy, playful place to relax and have fun with some friends – away from the hustle bustle of day to day life.
Such a delightful place. Would love yo win!!
I am an southern artist and closet writer…I love beach combing, cooking homemade french toast especially in that quaint retro kitchen…and I’m an avid reader…could so see myself in that slipcover chair with my nose in a book and glass of sweet tea.. on Tybee Island…let it be me!! ;))
YES! It’s freezing here in Kansas City, Missouri. Get me OUT of here 🙂 I’d love to spend time at the Breeze Inn!
Thank you so much, Annette
Would love the peace an at of the cottage an to be able to breathe in the salt water air!
Love the older touched throughout the cottage.
Tybee Island reminds me of the old beach times. Retro, vintage, lovely! Thanks for the chance to win some time here!
I have never been to Savannah or Tybee Island, but I think I would love to see all the vintage cottages, like the Breeze Inn! I love the ocean so much and the cottages would be such a great beachside getaway for a relaxing vacation!
This place looks like it was taken right out of a novel. This baby boomer loves the 60’s! Fingers crossed!
Your cottage looks so very inviting…I have never been to Tybee, although it is on my list! Just bugging my husband to makeing reservations down there now- before our next snowstorm hits this week! I dream of this getaway! Looks beautiful:-)
Thank you!
Tybee is on my bucket list, have never been there. Planning a trip for my 60th birthday (August) with my hubby of 34 years, up the east coast to places not seen, especially those with great food, people and the beach! MKA is a high school classmate of mine, so very proud she is living her dream.
I’ve never been to Tybee Island and I would love to see the lighthouse and pier. The cottages look so charming and inviting!
