As we get ready to close out 2023, I wanted to share my last post from our trip in October to New England. We loved our trip so much and as we went from state to state, I took so many pictures of the beautiful homes and cottages of New England that I wanted to share them with all of you too. I’ve added in a few churches and historical buildings here too, but most are homes. Enjoy the beauty of these charming New England homes. They sure build beautiful homes in this area and wouldn’t it be nice if new homes were built to look more like this? We have a few neighborhoods around our area that have a New England flavor, but they are few and far between. There’s nothing more charming to me!

I love the old and big homes on the east coast. I have stayed in a B&B in Camden. Hope you have seen the HGTV show Farmhouse Fixer with Jon Knight. The homes he works on are in New England.

Oh Rhoda, this is one of my all time favorite posts! Like you, I prefer the charm of old homes. These homes exhibited such grandeur. I can imagine in their heyday they were the site of some quite elaborate festivities. The grounds of many of them were just immaculate, but wow, the terrain was really challenging. At my age, 70+, I would have to have a gardener. I loved finding little surprises like the windows under the porch, to the basement would be my guess.
Thank you for all you do, the time it requires to take all these pictures, so that we, your readers, can enjoy part of the country that we/I will probably never see.
I was so sorry to read about your mother, sending my condolences, and because I am also a Christ follower, I share your assurance that she is rejoicing with her Savior.

I suppose I will never get to see that part of our beautiful country…but…you took some pictures to help me visualize what New England looks like. And for that…thank you! Have a Happy Healthy New Year…from our house to yours!
