{Giveaway is Closed}

The winner is:  #94, Lisa Appell!  Congrats, Lisa!

Some things come in small packages and that is the case with a brand new book!

Country Living Little Book of Big Decorating Ideas

I love getting the chance to review these décor books up close and personal and this one is so tiny and cute.  A little square book packed with decorating ideas!  What fun.

The tag line is 287 clever tips, tricks and solutions and they are right.  Each page is numbered with a great idea for decorating, from quirky, to found objects and recyling, there’s an idea for every design enthusiast.

Country Living Big decorating ideas

It’s tiny and square, about 6” square.  From the editors of Country Living, one of our fave magazines, you’ll find tips on hundreds of ideas to tap into your home’s full potential.

Country Living book 2

Pages 68 and 69:  Bathroom ideas and fireplace plans.

Country Living 3

Pages 99 and 100: Birdcages and quirky clothes pins.

Country Living 4

Pages 117 and 118:  Painted stairs and upholstery ideas.

Country Living 5

Pages 216 and 217:  Color ideas for the living room and bedroom.

Country Living 6

Pages 240 and 241:  Framed art and gallery walls.

Country Living 7

And the outdoor areas even got in the book, Pages 230 and 231:  Outdoor planting and fence ideas.

It really is packed with some great pics and you’ll enjoy thumbing through this one. I love adding great décor books to my growing collection for those times that I just want to unplug and sit on the porch with a pretty book in hand.  I don’t always want to be in front of my computer, do you? Winking smile

ONE very lucky reader is also going to get a chance to add Country Living’s Little Book of BIG Decorating Ideas to your collection too!  All you have to do is leave a comment telling me why you love décor books and how much you’ll enjoy this one.

I’ll pick a random winner in a few days!  That’s it!

I’ve long loved decor books & mags, and have been known to put together idea books of my own using things I find in them. Now, however, they mean more to me as we search out a home & due mostly to budget restraints, are shopping for a true fixer upper. These books will go a long way in helping me create a cozy, cute home for us!

I enjoy looking at and reading decor books and then seeing if I can apply some of the ideas to our own home. I sometimes go back to them years later as a reference too. Country Living is a favorite magazine of mine as well.

I love reading décor books because I like to actually bookmark pages for future reference. It is fun to look at the books, sometimes years later (long after my computer crashes and takes everything with it… 🙁 ) and see if I still like that style, idea, etc. I like the little format of this book, too, with to the point ideas and pictures!

I just love to hear the thoughts of others when it comes to decorating. You can really learn some new ideas! I recently added some black rugs to my home a the suggestion of a friend and I just love how it turned out

Reading design blogs is one of my favorite things to do, but I love home decor books as well! The nice thing about them is that you can carry them around with you from room to room thinking about ideas, you can keep them on hand to easily flip back to, and I can read them when visiting my parent’s house way in the country with no internet!

What a neat little book full of ideas. I like décor books as it helps to illustrate to my husband what I would like to add to our house. A picture works better than trying to describe it!

My favorite thing about design books is when I see them use something that I already have but never thought to use in that way before. Country Living has been my go to magazine for 30yrs. Timeless design.

Oh, how I LOVE decorating books! I have spent countless hours of my life looking at and reading them, and re-looking at, and re-reading them! LOL!
One more book would be a WONDERFUL blessing! I haven’t had a ‘new’ one in year or more! Please, please . . .
    Thank you!!!! 🙂

I also enjoy looking through decor books and magazines. It is especially sweet on a rainy day with the candles lit and a cup of tea. I even have quite a few Southern Living magazines from the 80’s and 90’s that have that fold over binding! Such a treat!

Always love thumbing through décor books – like your website, Rhoda, the ideas take me in directions I would have never thought of on my own.

I make a weekly trip to our massive used book store in town and always come out with decorating books! They are my favorite! Thanks for the chance to add another to my sagging bookshelves.
