{Giveaway Ended}  The Winner is #114, Esther.

Once again, I’m back with another blogger friend book.  My friend, Wendy Hyde, of The Shabby Nest, has written a fun and inspiring decorating book, Decorating for Real Life.  It shows real life homes and gives ideas on how to make your home better with a few changes.

With practical real-life ideas for decorating, you are sure to be inspired in your own home. From space planning, color planning, to decor style, she covers the bases for a beautiful home.

Decorating for real life

Each real life home feature asks these questions:

What does this space say?

What makes this space family friendly?

What fears need to be overcome?

What compromise is required?

Our master bedroom could use some work. After our move we ended up with hodge podgy furniture in there that didn’t fit anywhere else. I need some help and motivation to pull that together.

Definitely the family room! We have a corner facing fireplace and I can never get the furniture layout right. Sometimes I turn the sofa towards the fireplace, other times it’s facing the entertainment/tv unit. I don’t really like either way. Plus it all opens up to the kitchen. HELP!

Our family room could use some coziness. It is functional and nice looking but it needs something to make it more comfortable.

I love decorating, it is a passion of mine. I find a lot of awesome ideas on line, in books and magazines. I am getting ready to purge excess items to donate to charity. I am always looking for fresh ideas. Thank you for your generous offer.

I have been in my house for 1.5 years. Still working to add beauty and texture to every room. It’s coming together, but totally a work in progress. So, this book would be a perfect addition to my go to inspiration. Thanks for this offer.
