Fashion over 50: Floral Tunic Glamour Farms

I’m back today with another cute tunic top from Glamour Farms.  You all seemed to love their clothes as much as I do, so I’m happy to hear that! It’s nice to find an online shop that offers affordable, yet stylish clothes for more mature women, such as us.  Well, most of my audience anyway!  We don’t have to look dowdy and matronly at this age and I’m so happy that styles have changed over the years.  This generation of 50 and 60 year olds are way younger than our parents were at our age.

My Secret Garden (affiliate link) tunic dress is another fun find from Glamour Farms.

It has a gray background and is covered with pretty pink floral roses with a bit of green in the fabric. Very romantic and flowy. It dips lower on either side and is very comfortable with the Glamour Farms gray leggings (affiliate link). These leggings are very comfy and hold in the waistline too.

There is also a gray shaper that you can get to go under this as well.  Those long shapers (affiliate link) are super comfy and really help with pulling things in on more form fitting clothes, if you know what I mean.

With bell sleeves and plenty of room, this cute floral tunic is perfect for a day out. I wore it to Florida when I visited the HGTV Dream Home, which I’ll be sharing on Friday!  Even though it’s pretty big and roomy, it is still cute and fun to wear.  If you want a top that skims over problem areas, this one will do it. I’m wearing a Small and as you can see, it is wide and roomy.  Stop over to Glamour Farms for more great fashion finds!

I can totally see this as a comfort outfit, even with your fabulous figure! I never heard of Glamour Farms so will see what else they have as well 😉

I think it’s important that the comment section on blogs don’t just become non-stop applause sections and I would like to think that Rhoda can hear politely worded critiques without crumbling….I did try to be very polite in expressing my opinion, and in fact really love the fashion posts! I just don’t happen to think this is a great outfit. In fact, it’s the first of all of your posts that I haven’t liked. I’ve been reading since the very beginning, and am happy you’ve started doing more fashion posts.

I wish other commenters wouldn’t jump to shut down any comment that isn’t all sweetness & light. I find it tedious.

Carol-Anne, I’m a big girl and can take it. Part of being a blogger is knowing that not everyone will like everything I do. Thanks for supporting my blog all these years!

Oh my, I LOVE your Wednesday posts. This is very cute on you and the travel outfit idea is wonderful. It’s amazing how much cooler capri leggings are. Sometimes with regular leggings I just pull them up to capri length. Thanks for blog and sharing your life and family.

Just a trial run to add the E on my last name to not get me mixed up with other Bonnies.

I wanted to add that I originally ordered from Glamour Farms because of your post last week. I do appreciate your fashion over 50 posts, so I’m glad you are going to continue.

Whoah, this is the first time I’ve seen so much negativity aimed at you, Rhoda. Wish people could be a bit kinder to others, especially in online comments. I’ve been following you since your Rate My Space days and enjoy your blog very much. With that slim and trim figure, you could wear a feed sack and look glamorous. Keep up the good work!!!!

      Terri,

I don’t think anyone was being “unkind” ~ they were just saying that they didn’t think this outfit was a good one for Rhoda. People don’t have to love everything to be “kind”…that actually sounds a bit mindless. No one expressed their opinions in a rude way.

I had to laugh when I read the comments because when I first opened the post and saw that outfit I thought to myself “Oh I LOVE this look!!!” Then I read all the negative comments. I think it is absolutely adorable, colorful and chic. Just goes to show we are all different and that is OKAY!

I love the tunic top Rhoda, especially the print! I always look forward to your Fashion over 50 posts. I’m a 31 year old Australian who is always in the opposite season you are posting about and who probably cant make purchases from the majority of the sites, but that doesn’t stop me from loving to look at the different outfits you to put together! Keep up the great work x

Count me as one who likes the fashion posts, and the travel posts, too! I enjoy all of them. Rhoda, you just have a very interesting, fun life. Today’s tunic is a good and carefree shape, looks tres comfortable; great for something out of the ordinary.

I have that exact same tunic! I have styled it twice on the blog, here are the links in case you are interested in seeing it. http://www.sweetparrishplace.com/2016/04/jewelry-that-smells-good.html http://www.sweetparrishplace.com/2016/02/floral-tunic-styled-for-late-winter.html
It was really fun seeing how you wore it! I had the pleasure of meeting you at Haven last year, and hope to go again this year. Have a great weekend!

Wow, when I made this comment, I hadn’t read the other comments people made! People sure feel free to be extremely rude. I don’t know how you stomach it, honestly. And I completely disagree with the fact that people think it is not flattering on you and that flowy tunics don’t look good on thin people. Whomever wrote those comments don’t know style, and they probably dress like frumpy old ladies. I am 45, I guess what, I dress as I please! Sorry you got slammed by some people on this outfit choice. I think you look fabulous!
