Fashion over 50: Floral Tunic Glamour Farms

I’m back today with another cute tunic top from Glamour Farms.  You all seemed to love their clothes as much as I do, so I’m happy to hear that! It’s nice to find an online shop that offers affordable, yet stylish clothes for more mature women, such as us.  Well, most of my audience anyway!  We don’t have to look dowdy and matronly at this age and I’m so happy that styles have changed over the years.  This generation of 50 and 60 year olds are way younger than our parents were at our age.

My Secret Garden (affiliate link) tunic dress is another fun find from Glamour Farms.

It has a gray background and is covered with pretty pink floral roses with a bit of green in the fabric. Very romantic and flowy. It dips lower on either side and is very comfortable with the Glamour Farms gray leggings (affiliate link). These leggings are very comfy and hold in the waistline too.

There is also a gray shaper that you can get to go under this as well.  Those long shapers (affiliate link) are super comfy and really help with pulling things in on more form fitting clothes, if you know what I mean.

With bell sleeves and plenty of room, this cute floral tunic is perfect for a day out. I wore it to Florida when I visited the HGTV Dream Home, which I’ll be sharing on Friday!  Even though it’s pretty big and roomy, it is still cute and fun to wear.  If you want a top that skims over problem areas, this one will do it. I’m wearing a Small and as you can see, it is wide and roomy.  Stop over to Glamour Farms for more great fashion finds!

For $10 off a $20 order to all my readers, use the code RHODA1.

I love your blog but big, shapeless big print tunics are not flattering, especially on women who are slender like you are! Just no.

WEAR WHAT YOU PLEASE! WHY BE STUCK IN A RUT AND NEVER TRY SOMETHING NEW!!!

Rhoda–sorry to say, I’m not loving this tunic on you. It definitely overwhelms you and I don’t care for the floral design either–kind of frumpy. You have done so much better in your clothing choices. I have never ordered from Glamour Farms, but I’ve been seeing it everywhere on blogs and not so much a fan of it. Most of the items look inexpensive. Glamour Farms must be reaching out to all the bloggers.

I like your decorating ideas but not the clothes. In checking out the loud floral tunic maker’s website I see their dresses are all too short for anyone over 50 to wear without leggings. I live in Florida where it’ too hot to wear leggings. I wish you’d just stick to decorating.

HOW RUDE CAN YOU BE????? We all have different tastes and should not be told to what to do!!!!!! Maybe you should stick to not telling others what to do!!

I LOVE your fashion posts, but I have to agree that this particular outfit is just not flattering on you. It’s too flowly & shapeless & makes you look shapeless too.

Hope this doesn’t seem rude, I just wanted to you have feedback.

I’m not a fan of flowers & that much material but on you anything looks good. You have the height to carry it off and look like a model! They say if petite to not wear a print any larger than your fist balled up. Of course I don’t adhere to rules , only as a guideline. 🙂

Hi, ladies, well I guess this one is not a popular choice and I can see why. It is very roomy and not form fitting, so that makes it look big. I will say it was very comfortable to wear though. You all have spoken and I hear ya!

Good grief, Rhoda, you are certainly getting slammed today. I think the first picture shows how cute this top can be and it looks very nice on you. I enjoy seeing your wardrobe choices and am so glad you share them with us. Gives me new ideas of how to combine pieces in my own wardrobe and also freshen it up with accessories, which I’m not so hot at doing. Keep up the good work.

I think it’s pretty and would be a great outfit for traveling. I always wonder how I can be comfortable when we are traveling. We go out to eat when we are on the road and I hate wearing sweat pants and tee shirts. I’ll keep this in mind. Hugs!

Yes, it was great for traveling. I wore it while flying last week and it was very comfortable.

I just ordered a few things from Glamour Farms yesterday and of course didn’t have your discount code. Darn! That was my second order from them – I think the clothes run small as I usually wear a small. One of the tops I ordered in a small I would not wear (too snug). I was disappointed too that the site did not say that clearance items were final sales. That was on my receipt.

Having said that, I love the sweater tunic that did fit and I got a lot of compliments on it. Hopefully my second order will be a success.

I personally do not care for floral clothes in general. The style would be great in a vibrant raspberry or royal blue.

I think this outfit is cute. People gripe if you show your legs or if you don’t! It looks comfy and springy and feminine.

Gosh, Rhoda, you took some hits today! Actually, your dress/top wasn’t that bad and it would be great for traveling. And no matter what anyone said, you look amazing! I, too, would not wear it as a dress, without pairing it with leggings! Please don’t shove it to the back of the closet…..if you like it and it feels comfortable…..wear it…..and those who don’t like it….well, maybe, they don’t think it would be good for their body type….but I bet it hides a lot of what we may think as a “body flaw”…..lead on, Rhoda, you’re doing great for all of us over 50!

I ordered a dress and top from Glamour Farms after you posted the link and I love both! While the prices are inexpensive, the clothing is not cheaply made. I wore the top yesterday with palazzo (sp?) pants and everyone LOVED the look.

Love your outfit choices and your blog!

I have a top/dress very similar to yours – and yes, even though it said ‘dress’ in the description – not on this older person! Rhoda I’ve followed your blog for years, and like some of the other posters on this page, I really prefer the decorating and home improvement DIY project side of your writings. On days where you do fashion, food, travel – I skip it. It’s simply a matter of opening the page, looking at the title and moving on. No reason to trash it; there are people who enjoy a variety of topics, so let them enjoy. Yes, normally I would have not read today’s post, but the top in the picture is so much like the one I have – I had to read. 🙂

I think you look super cute! I enjoy the Fashion over 50 posts and hope that you keep them up. I wish people would be a little more careful with their comments. My dad always said “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” It would be great if that would apply in the internet world.

Oh Rhoda, this was harsh. I love your fashion over fifty and is why I follow your blog. While I didn’t like this top and find Glamour Farm clothes too young and girlish for anyone over thirty, please don’t give up on styling clothes for us.

    Rhoda,

I like Glamour Farms but not a fan of this tunic. Not for the reasons listed above, though. I just don’t like the colors. However, I think the shape is fine, depending on where you are wearing it. I think someone said for travel? Perfect! As a cover up to go from beach/pool into a shop or restaurant? Perfect! You get the idea.

I’ve ordered a few things from them and have always been pleased. As one person stated, their dresses can be short. I live on the gulf coast of Texas. It’s every bit as hot here as it is in Florida, and just as much humidity. I love the option of capri leggings with shorter dresses as a change from shorts. Just MHO.

Don’t let the posts get to you. You are adorable.

I have to agree about the tunic not being my favorite. You are so tall and slender I would accent that feaure. I find the cut on Glamour Farms clothing to be odd or old fashioned. I enjoy your willingness to share your life through your blog.

Oh my goodness! Some people can be so rude, which I think maybe coming from jealousy! It is not like you are going to walk around with your arms stretched out. Tunics are in style and so is floral print. I think some of the rude comments are coming from people who are insecure. Rhonda you are beautiful inside and out!!! I LOVE your Fashion over 50 posts AND I am only 38 years old…LOL!!! I love to see how you put things together and accessorize!!!
