Hey there friends! The weather is teasing us this week, with a cold snap again and it can’t seem to decide if Spring is really here or not, but we’ll take the sunshine that’s here this week.
Here’s a question you probably didn’t expect to hear today.
Do you ever shop for clothes at Cracker Barrel? I know, right?! I typically only eat there when we are traveling, but sometimes Mark and I take his parents out to eat and it’s one of our spots we go to. So, when I’m in there I will go through the clothes racks on the way out and just take a peek. Last time I was there, I found this top and loved it.
I thought it would be a perfect summer top with so many things and it’s lined and so cute with embroidery details and a scalloped hemline. And I loved the ruffle sleeve too, very feminine.
Since I’m still in love with those blush suede shoes from Sole Society, I tried them out with this outfit and I do think they will go with so many things and act as a neutral. These are Mother jeans that I bought a couple years ago, in a flared leg.
I found the top online at Cracker Barrel, I don’t get any commission off this, but wanted to pass it along! It’s a really cute top, I got it in Small. I had no idea they have their clothing online.
I can see wearing this top with colors and black. White is versatile for summer.
So, there you go, my Cracker Barrel find of the week!
Here are the shoes again, in case you want to take a look (affiliate link):
And one more tip for you! My hair is turning more gray by the day, it seems, so I needed to find something to cover the roots in between coloring at the salon. I had tried a powder that you brush on, but this one is way better. My sister had used this one, so I found it at Walmart and really like it. I got Dark Blonde and it has a little nozzle that sprays just where you need it to be. Perfect for covering up the roots at the top of my hair before I get back to the salon.
Here’s a link to Target, but you can probably find it in your local store too:
How long does the root cover up last? From reading, it seems that it only lasts till you shampoo. Does it rub off on your hands?
Hey, Tammie, it does only last until you shampoo, but that’s fine with me. It didn’t rub off bad at all, I sort of sprayed and ran my fingers thru to even it out. I’m down to washing my hair only twice a week right now, sometimes more in summer. I’m not as oily as I used to be,so can go longer between shampoos.
It does only last until you shampoo but it’s perfect for the time in between salon visits. A little goes a long ways, and I’ve had my can for over a year now. The color blends right in.
That top – so cute!!!! Who knew – Cracker Barrel! I think I am going to order it in XL – it looks like it will be forgiving if you have a tummy like me. And that root cover up is really nice, I have it. It took a bit of trial and error for me but it works really well. You can rub it in a bit if you get too much in one spot – and it washes off your hands no problem and stays put until the next shampoo.
Yesss! I have bought clothes at Cracker Barrel among other things. LOL! I love your top. Very cute and feminine. Love the shoes too. Very nice look. Casual but dressy. My husband and I are leaving today for Myrtle Beach. We are spending the night on the road and it is next to a Cracker Barrel. I will be doing some shopping there on our way out. 🙂
I’m going to the Cracker Barrel site right now… your new top is so pretty. Like you I love the blush shoes you have. People always ask me about my collection of shoes but I never tell them the number of pairs I have.
I’m back… I am amazed at the wide range of items on Cracker Barrel.com. The site has clothing, toys and much much more. It is certainly worth a few minutes of your time… and there is even 10 pages of sale items! Thanks again for sharing the site with us Rhoda.
Hey, Janet, I was amazed too that they had it all online, had no idea!
Beautiful! Love the pretty top, but it all looks great.
I just recently discovered some cute tops at Cracker Barrel also!!!! Who knew???
Thanks for sharing your find. By the way, you look great in everything!!!😊
That top is so you, very romantic with the ruffle sleeve. Although I can’t wear pointy shoes, I love the blush pink.
Hi Rhoda…..Great to know that Cracker Barrel has clothes. My best friend tells me about their food all the time around the holidays if I don’t have time to bake they sell plate lunches at Thanksgiving or Christmas goodies. I will check online & see if any xs . That is a beautiful top. Love your outfit with the flared jeans. I have some slim bootcut with slight flare I love from Old Navy. My favorite jeans but I love skinny crop from Banana Republic also. You look fabulous with your new shoes on too! Thanks for tip on touchup – will look for that since I ran out of Batiste blonde dry shampoo. Alwasys fun to try new things!
I love your beautiful top. Can you tell us if it runs true to size or does it run big or small? I love your shoes, too. Thanks so much.
HI, Sarah, I normally wear a Small top and I got a Small in this one and it’s very true to size, so I’d say get your normal size.

Okay – Rhoda – don’t take this wrong… but the you tube link in this comment is for a product from the 1970’s “GLH – Great Looking Hair” which was a way to cover your baldness or gray – developed by Ronco of course. I’m not laughing at you – but everything old is new again.
AND speaking of Cracker Barrel – why of course I’ve purchased clothing from there. I try to catch their sales because they are a little pricey on some items. Love their tee shirts for the grands.
Happy Wednesday.
Hey Becky, I totally remember that stuff & yep this is essentially spray paint for your hair. Gotta do what we gotta do!
Hello! Love Cracker Barrel for clothes! I am in southern California but every year I visit my sister in South Carolina and I hit Cracker Barrel’s in our travels while visiting with my sister! And the home items…awesome! We are getting a few Cracker Barrel’s out here but will still have to travel to get to them.
Have a great day…LOVE your blog!
I have looked through the tops at Cracker Barrel but haven’t taken the time to buy any. Your new white top is beautiful! I love Cracker Barrel and the food is always so good for a home style type meal. I’ll have to pay more attention to the clothes the next time we are there and I’ll look through their online website too.
Thanks for all of your interesting blog posts!
Love your blog! Just manged to get the last top in my size online; but alas the shoes are all gone in my size. Thanks for sharing your great style and finds.
My mom lived in retirement community in Williamsburg, Va. There was a Cracker Barrel right beside it. We botyh used to live to shop there. They have cute childrens clothes, too. Great for getting a grandchild gift and toys, too. I often would get birthday gifts from their home department. They gift wrap for free! Rhoda, this outfit is pefectbon you. The shoes tie it all together.
* I meant we both loved to shop there!
I have breakfast at Cracker Barrel sometimes with my colleagues. The gift shop is girly girl heaven.
I’ve bought some cute stuff in store too, from gifts to clothing. When my daughter was younger, I found lots of cute dresses for her there.
I have purchased way more than I ever should at Cracker Barrel in their clothes department. One thing I do enjoy about it is I don’t see everybody wearing my same top like I do when I buy at Belks. I have also bought baby clothes and bibs that celebrate “firsts” for baby ( Christmas, Thanksgiving etc). I buy unusual candies and small toys for stocking stuffers at Christmas as well as unusual Christmas ornaments. This year I purchased an antique tin Christmas collar for my Christmas Tree (to cover up tree stand). Their
CD’s for music or books on tape as well as their unusual DVD selections are my go to for my hard to please
friends. FYI every one I go to has their own choice of College apparel , so I miss the mall traffic during football season and get my belly full at the same time! 🙂
Love the top! So cute! I don’t go to Cracker Barrel very often, but I always tell myself to not forget to come back and shop, but I still forget! They have so many cute items! Thank you for sharing!
I love cracker barrel’s gift area. I rarely get out of there w/o buying myself or the grandbabies something. There 50% off area is awesome! And…thanks for the root cover up info! Since retirement I am trying to spread out those big expenses like hair highlighting! I will have to check it out!
