Fashion over 50: Loft Tops

Can I just say that y’all are the BEST?!!  Just wanted to take a minute to tell you all thank you SO much for all those sweet comments you left for me on my 10 year blogging post!  Y’all know how to make a girl feel really good and I’m more convinced than ever that my style of blogging is the way to go and don’t worry, I don’t plan to change a thing.  I’ll just keep being me and sharing my life as it comes.  When I post these personal posts, you all come out in droves and leave the sweetest comments and I can’t thank you enough.  It’s so nice to hear those things along the way and know that I’m doing something right on here!  I just wanted you to know that I read every single comment that comes in here and that post was really fun for me to hear from all of you!

So, back to fashion over 50 today.  I shared those Loft tops that I bought on sale a couple of weeks ago and I got them in and am sharing today.

The pink knit turtleneck is really soft and I love the color. Nice shot of color for winter days.  In case you wonder if I do own any dress pants, I do!  Even though I don’t have to dress for the office anymore, I still have a few pair of dress pants.  These are a dark gray pair I picked up a couple years ago at The Limited and I just heard they are going out of business. I have always loved their clothing and pants especially and have found good ones over the years.  Too bad they are closing, they were a huge part of my teenage years.  I thought pink and gray is a good combo.

I don’t always like bulky turtlenecks, but this one is soft and not heavy and I rolled it down lower to make it not so tall.  I added my black suede heels that I found at TJ Maxx and although they are pretty, they are not long wearing shoes.

I do love how strappy and pretty they are though.

All of these tops are now sold out (too bad!) but there are a few things left on their sale page  (affiliate link) you might be interested in.  Deep discounts and I’m glad I got in on it!

I’m really enjoying this gray top too with the embroider on the bottom.

It works well with my charcoal jeans from Old Navy (affiliate link), still loving these jeans too.

Shared the Sam Edelman black booties (affiliate link) and I’m still loving them too.  Great addition for winter!

Gray is a fun addition to the wardrobe and I got some new jewelry that I’ll tell you about too.

Our weather has been all over the place again lately.  It will be cold for a few days and then the rain came and it warmed up again.

And it was very windy the day I took these pics.

For a little extra warmth, I added this ruffled gray wool sweater that I’ve had for a few years, found it at TJ Maxx long ago. Perfect for those in between days.

And the plaid top from Loft is really cute too, perfect for a casual day with jeans and sneakers.  Also out of stock now.

Jeans are my old stand by, Rock and Republic Berlin (not affiliate link from Kohls) and my cute white Chucks (affiliate link).  You can probably find the white, but I love this Oyster Gray from Nordstrom Rack and the price is really good. Less than my white ones.

And I see the white is on clearance at Nordstrom (affiliate link) and I think these are leather laces (these are the ones I really wanted, but couldn’t find when I was shopping for mine.

This top is dark navy, but reads black.  Great little casual top, but again all sold out.

Back to the jewelry.  I did my yearly trip down to the Atlanta market earlier this month and I always have to do a quick stroll through the cash and carry jewelry aisles, as well as the clothing samples.  This vendor caught my eye with the gray and blush bead jewelry.  It’s so pretty and I figured I had several things that I could wear these with. Again, this is the wholesale market in Atlanta, so everyone can’t get in, you have to have a business license to get in so call if you want to learn more about their policies.  I can also get in as a blogger during certain times, so went to a blog event down there that day.  I love all these pieces and I got 2 necklaces, 3 bracelets and a pair of earrings (actually 2, one set came with one of the necklaces), all for $32. Quite the bargains, that cash and carry jewelry!  The longer necklace is sparkly and I love it too. All these colors are so soft and a great mix with my gray things. Here’s where I bought it from, What’s Hot, they have a wholesale website, so if you have a business you may be able to order!

That’s it for Fashion over 50 today, that’s what I’ve been wearing lately!

I love that gray top. I wear a lot of gray and black. Thank you for your fashion over 50 blogs. I didn’t keep my younger figure like you did but I still can use your fashion tips as a guideline (said the age 70 woman).

Hey, Debbie, I do have a ton of hair, always have. It’s been a mess over the years to tame, but I really have a good stylist and now I can wear it straight or curly, which is fun.

Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your blog. I don’t know whether to kiss you or curse you, I didn’t know about Loft, but your bargains were so cute! I logged on and found lot’s of items on sale. My family is from Marietta, but I live in Florida, so I love to read about the Square and the pictures of your parents and their cooking and farming remind me so much of my grandfather from Marietta. Keep on doing the great work!

    Hi Rhoda,
I missed commenting on your last post, but I do want to congratulate you on a wonderful blog. I found you a long time ago while searching for a good cornbread recipe. I found it here.
    http://southernhospitalityblog.com/southern-cornbread/ to be exact.
You posted that recipe JANUARY 18, 2008. You had me hooked immediately.
I have been a faithful follower ever since. I love you, your family, your home…everything. I think the reason you are so special is just what you said in your previous post. You keep it real. I really appreciate that.

Re today’s post…you look lovely as always. I love the new hair style.

As always, I look forward to the next one.

Congratulations on 10 years! Love and follow your blog. And thank you for not changing anything. Just recently stopped following a few as I don’t want to hear political views – there are blogs for that.

So fun to be able to style your hair curly or straight! I like it both ways. Btw, how can you wear it down in the ATL summer heat and humidity?
Those are all cute outfits and Loft clothes last so well!

Hey, Martha, I do tend to wear it curly more in the summer months because of our heat and humidity. Thanks for stopping by!

    Rhoda-
You have been my favorite blogger for years! I love the authenticity of your blog. You are humble and kind, and those qualities always come through in your posts! Don’t change a thing. It has been a joy to see God bring you to such a happy place both personally and professionally. But I know that you would praise Him regardless. 🙂
    Blessings, Margaret

Everything was really cute this week, but I love the little TJMAXX jacket with the frilly edging an d the leather booties. I also wanted to mention that The Limited is only closing their brick and mortar stores, but will keep an online presence. Seems to be the same everywhere. I guess I’m the only one in the world who like to try on clothes before buying as for me fit is everything.
