Fashion over 50: Sweaters and Corduroy

I’m back today with Fashion over 50 and a sweater you’ve seen before, mixed with a new pair of skinny corduroy pants that I got recently.  I love Winter White and figured that these cords would be a good addition to my Winter wardrobe.

I paired them with this striped coral and cream sweater that I picked up last year on sale at Chico’s.  I’ve enjoyed it and the hit of color this time of year is uplifting.  Our weather is back to a bit balmy right now, so I didn’t even need a coat with this.  Wearing it with my tan suede booties gives it more of a winter look as well.

I love how the back is longer for more coverage.

Kut from the Kloth winter white cords (affiliate link). These are on major sale right now at Macy’s and I ordered mine from Nordstrom for a bit more.

Coral and White sweater from Chicos (affiliate link).  Can’t believe this is still available and a great price!

Booties are from American Eagle Outfitter and I don’t think they are available anymore either.

Here’s a similar pair from Forever 21 (affiliate link).  Similar booties from Tom’s (affiliate link)

Scarf is from TJ Maxx.

I ordered another Boots lip shine crayon recently and really love this color, Statement (affiliate link). It’s on the coral red side and goes on nicely.  These may not wear as long as lipsticks do, but I like the easy way they apply and feel on my lips.

I picked up the deep coral bracelet in Grand Turk ($8) and love how it looks with a bracelet I already have. Since I wear so much turquoise and coral, these are great pieces to mix around.

That’s it for today, hope you got some ideas for yourself and left inspired!  I do so enjoy getting dressed nicely and looking good when I go out.

Rhoda, that sweater is so cute on you, I hopped over to Chico’s and just purchased it! That sale price was fantastic. I’m a huge fan of winter white also. Thanks for the inspiration today. Woke up to 66 degrees and severe storms here in Clemson, SC so you were my little ray of sunshine! ?

Very cute! I just got some boots similar to that from QVC that are made by White Mountain. Comfortable and stylish. Always love to check out what you’ve been wearing!

Great, ladies! Glad you got in on the sale. Thought that sweater would be long gone since I bought it last year.

Love the sweater – cute outfit! It is hot over here in MS. My Japanese magnolia tree is on its 3rd round of blooming….ha! No sweaters here 🙂

Just as a reference, what size did you get in the coral sweater?

Hey Susie, I’m not home right now, but it’s their size small. They have strange sizing.

Rhoda, you are so cute!!! You look totally put together and the Coral Sweater is a great February color. Pairing the Turquoise Jewelry really gives it interest and I admire the way you wear the scarf. I love them but usually take them off before I go out thinking they don’t look good on me…but I love them on others. I will have to try it again.

Re: scarves, I got so tired of a loop with the ends stuck through it, I finally looked at your video of tying a scarf. I had no hope because no matter how hard I try to tie knots, I can’t seem to follow. Well, this was as easy as falling off a log. It looks so much better, is so easy, and is actually warmer. Thanks for doing the video. And you look so pretty in coral, it’s gotten to be my favorite color.
