Hey there friends! I’m back from being out of town for almost a week, so feeling a little bleary eyed with lack of sleep and a very busy schedule from Haven to Mark and I taking a mini-vacation in Charleston. It was a great time, so I’ll be recapping all of this adventure in the next week or so.
In the meantime, it’s Fashion over 50 day and I’ve got that white skirt to share with you again. I think it’s going to be a versatile skirt and so fun to wear in the summer. It feels like a beach skirt and I will be taking it with me to the beach when we go at the end of September. You can pair so many things with this skirt and it’s casual, but very versatile. I’ll be wearing it mostly casual and it’s great with flip flops or flats too.
Here’s the first post I did on this skirt, in case you missed it and want to see how I styled it then.
I shared this gauzy skirt from Cottonseed I found in Covington, LA in a cute shop and I also got this linen shirt jacket there too. This was a recent look I wore to church, so I thought I’d share the different ways I’m wearing it. The aqua jacket brand is TooFan, but I don’t see a source online with these linen looks. This jacket will be versatile too with pants as well.
That black and white camisole is a long ago Loft find and it’s a great layering piece. I decided that my neutral tan leather sandals would look good with this combo so paired them up. Black wedges would have worked too.
The jacket can come off for a more casual look too. I love having a jacket like this for air conditioning in summer months. It’s so hot outside and sometimes so cold inside a restaurant.
Want to go even more casual? These white flip flops are a little bit dressy with gold details and cork soles and nice for summer months. I’m all about casual in the summer!
You know I’m all about jewelry and how the right jewelry can elevate a look, so these layered turquoise and silver pieces look great with this.
It’s fun to figure out different ways to wear a new piece and this white skirt is going to be a fun summer accessory. You can see the new straw purse I found recently at a local antiques store. It’s a Kate Spade and looks brand new, got it for $55. It’s going to be a fun purse for summer and I took it with me to Charleston.
I also took the white skirt with me to Charleston. Mark and I had a great time sight seeing and checking out the city. We walked around downtown a lot and I wanted to be cool and comfortable, so wore this skirt one day with a black racer back top and my black and white Yellow Box sandals that I’ve had for years. They are very comfy to wear walking around.
I’ll be sharing a lot more next week on Charleston, so stay tuned for that. Such a fun city to visit!
This outfit went from a day out to an evening out to eat. It was so hot and it was cool and casual all day long. I added mother of pearl jewlery to the outfit for this outing and loved it. I’ve had all these pieces for several years too. I was wind blown and tired, but what a fun day it was!
That’s it for this week, so I hope you enjoyed these ideas for changing up one skirt and making several outfits out of it.
Here are a few similar things in my post today and recently shared (affiliate links)
I love that skirt. My favorite look is the last one, with the solid black tank. But you look great in all of them!
Love all the looks–I have looked at white skirts and haven’t bought one yet–now I guess I am going to just have to force myself to do that!! 🙂
Love the white skirt look. Glad you had fun in Charleston.
The Kate Spade purse was a deal for sure.
Welcome Home!

Hi, Yvonne, that one is an old Clinique, called Raspberry Glace.
I just found your blog from Savvy Southern Style. Love your style.
Thank you, Roxann, so glad you stopped by!
I have that same mother of pearl bracelet. I have also had it for years. Looking gorgeous as always. Love the animal print top.
