Yes, you read that one right!
I’m not there yet, but I have a special guest today.  I met Ginny and her husband, Jeff, last year at St. Simons when I was on a media trip there. They are from the Sarasota area in Florida and such nice folks.  So, this year they were on the St. Augustine trip with our group and we got to catch up again.  Ginny is one smart lady and has been a CFO in her former corporate life, with accounting being her strong suit.  She now works with her husband and they do travel writing in syndicated travel columns across the country.
I think Ginny is such a stylish lady and get this, she is 72 years old. Â I think she looks amazing and so put together and so I asked her if I could feature her on my blog. Â She was very happy to let me do that and we took pics of her while in St. Augustine.
I don’t have the particulars of her clothing brands, but I thought you all would love to see Ginny and how she is aging so gracefully. Â It inspires me to see that! Â Ginny told me that she regularly does yoga and I’m sure that helps her to keep in shape as well.
She’s wearing straight leg pants in a soft gray and a pretty black camisole top to beat the heat, with silver sandals.
I Â just love Ginny’s stylish and elegant haircut and color. Â Hair styles make such a difference as we get older and Ginny’s style is perfect for her face.
It’s a bit asymmetrical and whispy and looks great.
I took a few angles of her haircut, so if any of you need some new ideas, you can try this out. Notice her simple, but stylish silver jewelry too.
Doesn’t Ginny look fantastic?
Gray jeans and a printed summer sleeveless top looks very stylish and cool.
Ginny is one stylish lady and I wanted to share her look with all of you. Â I know I have many readers over 70, so hopefully you can get some ideas on clothing style, hair, makeup, and accessorizing from Ginny.
Thanks, Ginny for letting me feature you!
I am really enjoying all these fashion posts with all ages, sizes and styles. Keep em’ coming!
Can you tell me what brand her jewerly is?
She looks fantastic. I am 67 and try to be stylish. Looking for a new haircut.
I agree with the others that your fashion posts are great. I, personally, look forward to seeing them, as well as all your other posts.
Nothing but…FABULOUS..Way to go lady! You can pull it off but at [74] I cannot leave home without something to cover [or drape ] over my upper arms. Something for me to dream about..& work on.
Are you sure that’s not Shirley McClain? She looks great, keep up the fashion posts for us ladies over 50, refreshing to see instead of size 0 twenty & thirty year olds!!
Shirley Mcclain? I see it now. And here I thought she was dead ringer for Helen Mirren! 🙂 Loved this post.
Ginny is so beautiful…love her haircut…wish I could get one like hers. Just 9 years older than Ginny but still like to read your fashion and decorating blogs.
She is adorable, and I love her hair!
Wow, I really love her haircut. I’m 62, live in Seattle (from Louisiana) It seems severe haircuts are expected on older ladies here. Adding to that, so many hair stylists are 30 and under. I tell them, I’m from the South, big hair, blowzy hair, no helmets for me! Right now, I go to someone I really love, but I’m keeping a picture of this for future reference. Ginny is beautiful. More, more!!! Personally, I love your blog, your mama and your daddy, and I love your fashion posts.
When I first glanced at her picture I thought it was Helen Mirren. A beautiful and stylish lady and I love her hair. She looks younger than 72 and I’m so glad you featured her today. Love her style.
I was born in Sarasota so I feel a kinship to Ginny! She is so pretty!
Ginny is gorgeous! I love to see that she’s showing off her arms and shoulders. I don’t understand why so many women hide those parts. Love her haircut and beautiful smile. Great clothes!
Ginny looks fabulous! Her haircut looks great on her and so do her clothes and jewelry. I hope I look that good when I turn 72!
She looks gorgeous! I want to hear about her hair color and cut in another post. Also, would she share some secrets to staying so fit. 🙂
When I first saw the pictures I thought she was actress Helen Mirren.
Love her style and that hair cut!! Beautiful!
Debbie
Totally loved this post, keep it coming.
Thank you for introducing us to Ginny. I’ll be 68 in a few months and its great seeing older women with great style.
Rhoda, tell Ginny she looks great, love the hair style. Ginny does not look her age. Hopefully Ginny will share some tips on hair styling and care. Thanks for sharing this post for older women, love the outfits. I enjoy your blog for the variety of post – decorating, gardening, how-to. fashion, home tours, and your parents, hope they are staying cool in this hot Georgia heat/ I enjoy the friendly tone of your blog, it reminds me of sitting on a porch sharing a glass of tea with a friend. Trying to stay cool in middle Georgia
Thank you, Theresa! That’s what I try to do on this blog, keep it just like you described, so I’m glad that’s what comes through.
Being 73 I am glad to see my age represented. She is darling and I only hope I am as cute. Keep it going.
I turn 74 in September ~~ Ginny is a true inspiration (I seriously envy those upper arms and it is obvious she has not abused tanning) ~ keep ’em coming!
Ginny is a doll! I love her hair color and cut. Yoga and biking have her looking great!
I love that her husband had such sweet things to say about his Sweetheart!
