Feature Friday: Country Home in the Hamptons

I’ve never been to the Hamptons, but whenever I see pics of houses in that area, I’m always smitten.  I think me and the Hamptons would get along just fine.  It looks so serene, pretty, and relaxing up there.  Makes me think of the Kennedys, Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, all places I have never been.  Maybe one day, I’ll visit that amazing area, but for now I’ll just have to enjoy these pics.

House Beautiful always delivers some gorgeous eye candy and this Hampton’s Country Home in red, white and vintage is another winner.

Creating a wonderful, weathered home in Bridgehampton, New York, design consultant Ellen O’Neill showcases the softer side of red.

I thought you would enjoy these too and I hope you do!

There’s something so pretty about all the white walls and the soft reds in contrast.  Don’t you love that red and white toile?  Toile is one of my fave fabrics to love.

This fireplace mantel is just plain yummy!

How cozy this cute doggie looks hanging out on the sofa.

Those red chairs sure pop in that room.

What is yummier than a black and white floor in an all-white kitchen?

Ahh, pure blissful scenes to take in.

This red and white bedroom is pretty cozy too.

Clawfoot tub and a red and white striped rug.  What is not to  love?

More red and white toile.  Who loves toile??

This bedroom is a little stark with all white and no color, but peaceful all the same.

Very pretty!

So, what did you think of the Hampton’s cottage?  Did you love it?  Is it somewhere you could spend your time and relax?

Love the color palette– all the variations on white, reds, pinks. Think I could definitely relax here!

Love it! Well, all except for that round red mirror in the dining room. Kind of reminds me of Target stores, lol. I would love to take a trip to the hamptons. It has been my dream for as long as I can remember to travel to the east coast in the fall especially, but I would go anytime of year, it’s so beautiful.

I lived in the Hamptons for awhile. I lived on Main street in Sag Harbor. The water was just down the block. I had a shop in East Hampton also on Main Street, just down the block from the windmill. I visited a lot of Hampton Homes and some were wonderful, while others were? Just because you have money, does not mean you have good taste. This house, is divine. And yes, to me it reflects what I think a Hampton House should look like. Thanks for sharing. I think that I could move in tomorrow! I love it all…I do think that I might add a couple of pillows on the bed and the window seat in the all white bedroom….just for a little color……I guess I better get packing!!!

Yep, love it, and I love toile! Especially red and cream toile. This is my kind of decorating for sure. Those spurts of red just inject so much personality to a room.

Wow! I can’t believe how they kept the theme throughout yet didn’t venture into carnival territory. What a gorgeous place.

Oh I love all these rooms! Red is my favorite color, especially against crisp white walls and bead board. I just found your blog today and I am so excited to see more of your ideas!!

Wow. Red has never been a color I’d choose for my home, but the toile is soft enough that it’s doable, even for me.

I love the red and white and I love the toile!! It’s such a refreshing change from the traditional blue for a cottage. Makes me want to go hang out there 🙂

I love the red and white. There’s no way I could keep that much white clean but it is interesting to see it carried throughout the entire house.
