My blog friend, Shannon with Fox Hollow Cottage is my Feature Friday today. Â I had the pleasure of meeting her in person last year at the Southern Romance event in Mobile that we both attended. Â In fact, we are headed back down to Mobile at the end of February to see the finished house and I can’t wait!
She is a sweet lady who lives on the coast of Oregon with her son and 2 kitties, in a cute 1920’s cottage bungalow. Â I love her quaint house and she’s done an outstanding job with renovating this little beauty.
She’s definitely a cottage loving girl and knows how to accent this style perfectly in her own home, so enjoy the tour!
I’m not going to narrate this one much, so just enjoy the pictures!
I hope you enjoyed seeing Shannon’s beautiful cottage home and all the hard work that went into it. She loves to paint furniture, thrift and epicycle things, so her  home has a very personal and unique touch.  Stop over to Fox Hollow Cottage and say hello to Shannon!
Absolutely gorgeous!
What beautifully executed ideas.
What a worthy feature — I love Shannon’s cottage.
You can tell how much work and love went into creating this beautiful home — and that smaller homes are so cozy!
Thanks for featuring her, and have a great weekend, Rhoda!
Love this sweet cottage! There are so many clever touches everywhere …the pop of soft pink on the bed, the sweet bird on the table, and I am having serious envy over the scale in the kitchen! And Shannon’s front lawn is to die for! Hope you have a nice weekend Rhoda. Are you getting snow in Atlanta? We have rain at the moment in Clemson, but serious icing up at the airport already. Praying our power stays on…this Southern girl is not hardy pioneer stock!!
Thank you Roxanne, I hope your power stayed on. We get nasty storms and power outages here and it is never fun. With the snow and cold I sure hope yours stayed on!
What lovely cottage interiors! Love the muted tones and the the touches of whimsy.
Wow! Just my style. I love Shannon’s home. Fresh, modern cottage with a touch of vintage. Love her bedroom! The outside of her home is so inviting. I love everything about her home. Thanks for the feature. I’ll head over and say hello to Shannon.
While we all had ‘house envy’ from last Friday’s post, admittedly this sweet cottage is more in line with MY budget. Just beautiful. Livable. Easy to manage and clean. As I have entered my 60’s, the adage ‘less is more’ is becoming my motto. Thanks for all the lovely homes you feature, Rhoda. Something for everyone.
Cute..but needs landscaping across the house. Also, can’t figure out the raised table on small rug blocking the fireplace.
Hi Terry, After renovating the small cottage and main house, we ran out of money. We would love to landscape and have plans to do that and are very excited 🙂 We don’t use the fireplace. It’s in a bad location in the house, as our front door is right by that table. It works for us as it’s laid out, and there are actually several feet between it and the hearth, but yeah… the fireplace placement is not ideal for any room arrangement.
Very nice home tour.
Such a sweet home! Love seeing small house owners making the most of what they have!
I love Shannon and her cottage! She’s the best and has wonderful ideas!

Rhoda, Image #7 shows the cutest tray/basket/remote control home. It’s on the armrest of Shannon’s sofa. Any ideas where we Atlants area girls might find one? Or one similar?
I’ve enjoyed your blog for a few years now. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Carol, I found that at an estate sale and just lucked out that it fit my chairs arm. I’ve searched online to give readers a shopping source but have had zero luck. I wish you luck in finding one for yourself. Best, Shannon 🙂
Thanks, Shannon. What a great find! Guess I’ll keep my eyes open and hope to find one, too. You have a charming and welcoming home.
Thanks so much for the fun feature Rhoda! I’m humbled my little cottage is being shared.
Next thing you know, we’ll be in Alabama again and getting to see all the “afters” at the Morgan-Ford house. I’m so looking forward to it!! Hope the cruise is going fabulously.
~Shannon
So enjoy her cozy home and what she’s been able to accomplish!
