Yesterday, I began this tour of the House Beautiful Kitchen of the Year 2016, right here in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood.  If you missed Part 1, go back and catch up.   This newly built house was chock full of inspiration and pretty design.

Again, the house was newly built in the Buckhead area of Atlanta and costs over $1 million.  The details in the house are amazing and very inspiring to see.

The living room is to the left of the front door, with the dining room to the right.  Sherry Hart did all the design details of these spaces and did a magnificent job, as always.

Modern furnishings in mostly neutrals, which is Sherry’s trademark.

Books and pretty accessories accent a corner table.

I took my sweetie, Mark, along with me for the tour. He loves house stuff too, lucky for me!  I love leaning mirrors like this, they add so much drama.

Next door, the keeping room adjoins the kitchen for a really open living concept.

3 wood tables in the corner with pretties on top.

Modern sofa table behind the sofa.

The details on the fireplace were really stunning with brass inlays.  Or it could be paint, not sure, but it’s really pretty.

Mudroom bench and hooks.

Love the grasscloth on the walls.  I want to use this one day.

From what Sherry posted on her blog, the wallpapers are all from Thibaut.

An office space is tucked away off the kitchen.

With built-ins and lots of storage it’s a very functional space.

More grasscloth type wallpaper on the walls, pretty in neutrals.

Another beautiful light fixture.

Moving out to the covered porch, this was a favorite space of mine.  I just love porches of all kinds!

A cozy sectional outdoor sofa looks like the perfect spot to sit a spell.

Pretty fresh flowers in rustic vases on the tables where the food and drinks were served out back.  It was a fun and enjoyable tour through this beautiful home in Buckhead.  Anytime I get to take a look at a house inside and out, it’s a happy day!  Houses are so fun to see and personalize and this one had lots of inspiration to imagine.  Hope you enjoyed!

Thanks for sharing this beautiful house. Do you have any information on the black and white art used in several of the rooms? I would be very interested in knowing the artist name. MJ
PS: I am very glad you have someone to share your life with, your journey together is only beginning I have a feeling.

Thank you, Maryjane, we sure are happy together! I don’t know any of the artwork, but I can ask Sherry and see if she knows.

HI, Maryjane, Sherry said the artwork came from a consignment shop in Buckhead called Swooz located on East Andrews Drive.

Thanks for sharing this beautiful home….but I have to say personally, I get more inspiration from YOUR home than some of the newer homes you are showing…your taste and style is so refreshing and I have duplicated several of the things you have showcased from your own home. Just saying….Rhonda, don’t underestimate yourself! You can hold your own with any of the big designers!

Aww, you girls are sweet! What I do is relatable to most people, so I appreciate you saying that. I in no way can hold a candle to the big designers, though!

This is a gorgeous house and the neutrals are lovely, the wallpapers and the lighting enhances the colours and fabrics. But I love your decorating style; there’s so much more colour and more personality, and it’s every bit as beautiful [and much more comfortable!]. So yes, as Roxanne says, you can hold your own! Thank you for sharing the photo in the mirror: you both look so very happy!

Thank you, Carolyn! There is room for ordinary people in decorating too, since we are more the norm, I think.
