Feature Friday: House by Hoff

Hello my friends! It’s going to be a busy rest of the month for me as I have back to back trips planned into October. I so love this time of year when the weather starts getting cooler and it’s such a great time to be outside enjoying the outdoors. Right now, I’m in New Orleans with my family, celebrating baby Iris’s dedication at church this weekend and it is a fast but fun trip. If I have some good pics to share, I’ll share those later.

When I return, I’m getting ready to go on one of the most fun trips I think I’ve ever had planned. One week from today, I’ll be leaving for a shopping trip to Round Top, TX. It’s all girls and about 10 of us are going. The owner Lisa, of The Front Porch of Vinings put this together and invited me to come along. Can you imagine how fun that is going to be? I’ll have a ton to share when I return from there, but then I’ll be leaving immediately for a trip to New York City. Talk about a dichotomy of places, those are 2 totally opposite trips. I’ll have to empty my suitcase of my Texas clothes (think hot and dusty weather) and pack some more stylish ones for NYC (Fall in the city). I’ll be attending the Better Homes and Gardens Stylemaker event again this year and could not be more excited to meet up with many of my blog friends and to get to interact with the BHG editors. I’ll extend my time there for a few days and do some sight seeing again, so when I get back I’ll have a LOT to share here on the blog. I may not be blogging as much the next couple of weeks, so just wanted to let you all know that!

Today’s Feature Friday is April from House by Hoff.  She has a really pretty farmhouse style and even though that is the going trend in blogland these days, April has made it her own and added color in her home tour and it looks so warm and inviting.  I love to see all the variations of farmhouse style out there. Everyone has their own take on it. I think the popularity of Fixer Upper has swayed many decorating styles across the country.

April is a mom first, plus a teacher, blogger and also owns her own photography business, so she is one busy girl.

So come along on a tour of April’s pretty home with the blue front door.

This will be a mix of seasons, from Summer to Fall looks.  What a cute entryway she has!

Nothing cuter than a doggie to great guests.

I still love an all white kitchen and April’s is so pretty. Love the big island. April does a lot of DIY projects to decorate her home and does a beautiful job.

I have relatives on Long Island. This is a very pretty home. I love her use of color and the way she mixes modern with vintage. It’s a beautiful home! Just beautiful. I’m curious about the grey backless stool at the kitchen island.

I live a couple hours from Round Top and Antique weekend is a huge deal. You will have a blast. Wear comfy shoes, a hat and one of those rolling bags- or two- to carry all your purchases! And definitely go to Royers!!
