Feature Friday: Make Mine a Spritzer

Happy Friday, friends!  Today’s Feature Friday is a really beautiful home north of Seattle, WA on an island called Fidalgo.  Meet Julie, a Californian who moved to WA state and built her dream home!  I didn’t know this when I met her on Instagram, but she told me my blog is one of the first blogs she ever read and she has been quietly following along for years.  I had no idea, but loved her Instagram feed and her Instagram name, Make Mine a Spritzer.  I began seeing her beautiful photos and wanted to feature her home, but I noticed there was not a blog associated with her Instagram account. Note: Juliet has since started a blog of the same name Make Mine a Spritzer, so go over and visit!

I messaged her and asked if I could feature her anyway and she wrote me back the sweetest email and so here we are and I’m going to show all of you her gorgeous home on this island near Seattle, which I’m sure have some spectacular views!  Julie’s home exudes class and beauty and she also loves teals and blues, which I’m loving on all over again in our new home.  Coastal touches are everywhere and it reminds me of Nantucket or Cape Cod, even though I’ve never been to either.  I just love a coastal feeling house!

I’ve been to the Seattle area and know the beauty that is there, so I’m sure the views are stunning from this deck.

Julie and her husband have indeed created a gorgeous dream home. Looks pretty perfect to me!  Julie doesn’t have a blog…yet!  She said she has one but it’s unpublished and I really think she needs to start one, don’t you?

Rhoda, I can see why you love this home! Julie’s home is gorgeous, and decorated beautifully in the coastal blues and whites that I also love. Her home looks like such a peaceful retreat from the busy-ness of life! Thanks for sharing it with us. And, yes, Julie should blog…I’d love to read about life on her island!

Rhoda, can you recommend some websites to visit for wallpaper purchases? Seems there are no stores locally that carry a selection.

    Thank you,
    Patti

HI, Patti, I am not sure where ot send you. I know our local Sherwin Williams paint stores has oodles of wallpaper books so if you have one close, stop in there and see what you find. I like looking at books to decide, but I’m seeing lots of great wallpaper out there now.

Timely question. I am also looking for wallpaper. I what white grass cloth and had no idea it would be so hard to find. Looked at local SW store, but have to go to the bigger store in Baton Rouge. If anyone has white grass cloth recommendations I would appreciate it. Love this beautiful house in WA.

I have to say that master bath is high on my list of favorites. Such a soothing color palette and great design choices. My kind of home – sophisticated and understated and livable. Thanks for photos. The outdoor spaces aren’t bad either! LOL

I also began my journey by following your blog. Your houses and style are always beautiful. But I think it is your grace throughout the past few years that I have admired most. You are an inspiration to me.

This is a beautiful home and I have followed her on Instagram as well now. Thank you for all of the hours of enjoyment you give on an internet filled with negativity. I can always count on you to make the world seem a little brighter.

This looks like Port Ludlow……a community in the middle of nowhere. I lived there twelve miserable years, watching people move out very fast, or die for lack of assistance. Beauty to the eye is not necessarily beauty for life…….hard reality.

Hi, Jay, that sounds like a downer of a comment. I don’t think Julie feels that way about her island or where she lives.
